Story
Meet Ranger, the intelligent and active Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy. This handsome boy is a fast learner and has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and shake. He's so clever that he tackled a level 3 puzzle on his first try! Ranger is a well-behaved and well-trained pup, making him a pleasure to have around the house. He's house trained, crate trained, and shows no signs of destructiveness indoors. However, he does experience some separation anxiety when his human leaves the house, which is why he's kept in his crate during errands. But don't worry, when he's playing in the backyard with his furry friend, he's perfectly content and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety. Ranger is an active boy who loves going on walks, and he'll gladly accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. While Ranger is intelligent and affectionate, he can be barrier reactive, meaning he may react when he encounters certain barriers or boundaries. Patience and positive reinforcement training can help him overcome this behavior. This is very typical behavior for both breeds and he absolutely has to be adopted into a Mali/GSD knowledgeable family/ Ranger was in pretty rough shape when rescued and the vet initially thought he had an intestinal disease. Nothing was definitively diagnosed but the vet believes he has small intestinal issues. He is on a folate vitamin daily and will just need annual lab work and a high quality RAW FOOD diet. Ranger's charm and charisma shine through in the photos and videos provided, capturing his playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion, Ranger is the perfect match. Give him the love and care he deserves, and he'll reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other. Story
Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Rainier You can probably guess that when I was found and rescued it was raining, it was! However, I was named after the gorgeousness that is Mount Rainier :) I have the highlights and lowlights of the mountain on a sun-cloudy day :) I have a driven personality, not unlike my breed. I am a very medium sized dutchy shepherd and possibly have Belgian Malinois in me as well........and you must KNOW and LOVE the breeds. I make super arm candy, if you will exercise me (and my brain) we will be besties for life! Currently I am living my best life running around green fields of grass with my big radar ears charged and ready to go! You best believe I can hear everything! Better open that bag of treats as quietly as possible or I'll come running in! And I can actually hear you open your laptop to apply to adopt me! HURRY!! How do you write a bio on eight week old maligators... That are 100% full on... Part of the breed is their nipping and their mouthiness... This is not a behavior you train out of them any more than you teach a border collie not to herd sheep or herd 3-year-old toddlers🤣 for that matter This breed works with their mouth and their nose and unfortunately, their incredible intelligence😳... I get tons of apps for the breed, cuz they are stunning and they have a reputation and one of the first things I put in every bio is must have breed knowledge or something extremely similar❤️ I'm always stunned how many applications have absolutely nothing to offer as far as experience... I don't say this to be difficult.. and I don't say this to think that not everyone is capable of handling the breed... But the reality is... Not everyone is capable of handling the breed People always say, well we're real active we do a lot of running and jogging, physical activity is not enough for this breed... They'll outrun you, out play you, out frisbee catch you, out swim you in all things and then they will wear you out because they will look at you like now what 😁 😄😳 These puppies are full on Belgian Malinois... They are purebred with no papers.. I have seen both parents and they are stunning.. we were able to fix the mom praise God... These guys have the angst 😳.. and if you don't know what that means then you don't know the breed 🤣 They have the energy.. they have the 100% commitment of loyalty and they have the brilliance😉 So, if you want to talk about owning the breed then I recommend you put an application in... But if you have no knowledge of what it means to work with an intelligent dog as far as... Mental stimulation.. mental work.. plus physical work... Plus the constant of this breed... The absolute relentless pursuit of all things crazy...😳 we will need to talk If your first time owner really wanting the breed it's not to say you can't have the breed... I didn't always have the breed... And I promise you there are many days, I'm not the brightest one in the group when I'm sitting with three of them... But I do understand the parameters... I understand mental... As well as physical... And I'm committed to the insanity of the breed. 🤣😉❤️ These kids also broke with parvo... And thank God, God's Dogs Rescue has the mono colloidal parvo injection... Because they were sick less than 8 hours😳... But that is also attributed to the fact is I recognize a sign of a puppy being off literally within an hour in behavior... And got them to the injections quickly.... They are an incredible breed .. they will wear you out mentally daily 😁 .... But they are incredible these kids are going to be amazing... They would be fantastic for someone who wants to commit to working with the dog and helping them shine in all their brilliance ❤️ So.. if you want to learn more you can go to our website and put in an application 😉 but we will have conversation😳 www.godsdogsrescue.org And be prepared for destruction of all things personal 🤣🤣 be prepared for occasional bloodshed jk...sort of..(ie: bitey scratches and love nips) but also be prepared that if you commit to this dog and this breed you will probably never own another breed❤️❤️❤️ Rating on a scale of 1 to 4 as far as who's the most crazy to the most laid-back.. and mind you this is relative to the moment.. this order can be changed at any time 🤣 Most mal lol 1. Story
Poor Bella was seen being dumped by her owner on a commercial street where big rigs constantly are passing through. It took a few days for us to build her trust to bring her to safety in our yard. Full of ticks and fleas we were able to clean her and give her love and attention which by the looks of it she never had love since she had the collar marks embedded into her fur where she had been tied up :( Bella loves toys and gets the zoomies when excited. She loves to run so preferably go to someone with a big yard or an active person. She is always high alert so she is always taking care of the house. She is very loyal to her person and shows how grateful she is to her foster family. She has her own personality and just wants love attention and she is ready to be spoiled by her forever family. * she will need a 6 foot fence * she does get along with dogs but gets jealous about her person *no cats *loves to Play in kiddie pool *walks on leash ok but still learning not to pull Bella Marie deserves a real home and will be your most loyal buddy ever!!! Love me back and that is a recipe for an AMAZING LIFE!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Calista is a beautiful, crazy, playful, rambunctious 2 year old German Shepherd. Found out in the woods in Rio Grande Valley with her mom and sister fending for themselves and trying to survive the coyotes. She was very skittish when she arrived at the rescue, and at times can still be, but she has come a long way. She gets excited and does a crazy spin in her excitement. She loves playing with other dogs, loves treats and playing with her foster siblings. She really needs a patient person who knows the breed and is willing to work with her and have the dedication to wait until she shows her very silly side :) Her foster mom has learned her secret- treats and smelling like hot dogs/ peanut butter helps! Calista loves other dogs and gets along great with her foster homes pack. She is playful and energetic with them. Sometimes maybe too energetic as she can be an escape artist and find even the smallest of holes in the fence to see if she can fit and make a b-line to the neighbors house! Calista will need to stay local to Texas for the time being. Each day she is gaining confidence and understanding and realizing that people are not all mean and that there ares some out there that really do love dogs and want nothing but goodness for them. If you think you are ready to give Calista love, attention and help her build trust and confidence in herself and you then please apply! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX only)
