I found Lady abandoned on a trail in February and took her in temporarily while searching for her owners, as I was unemployed at the time. Now that I have secured a full-time job, I am unable to give her the attention and activity she needs during the day. Lady spends over 7 hours alone, which is not suitable for her breed and has led to her becoming frustrated and destructive. She is otherwise a wonderful, gentle, sweet, and vocal girl with lots of love and loyalty to give. She would thrive in a loving family with a spacious backyard and can dedicate time and effort to obedience training. **She sometimes shows fear towards both male and female dogs. This behavior developed after a traumatic experience where she was attacked by two unleashed male German Shepherds. She may need a patient approach and careful introduction to other dogs**

Gunny's owner recently passed away. He had 2 dogs, no children and no spouse. He did not make any arrangements for the dogs. There are no family members able to take the dogs in and we have tried numerous rescue organizations, facebook, friends and family. He is currently living in the unoccupied house, with a doggie door so he has access to the house and back yard. A neighbor feeds them daily. We must sell the house ASAP and don't want to take them to the city shelter.. Gunny is a Belgium Malinois mix. He is 5 yrs old and weighs about 75 lbs. He is house broken, crate trained, chipped, neutered, and up to date on shots. Gunny has vet records going back to when he was a pup. He loves to play and be petted and is gentle and obedient. Alfalfa's was found as a stray in Stephenville and never reclaimed. Alfalfa is a loyal companion who wants to be right next to you most of the time. While he may get a little excited on the leash initially and pull you around, he settles down quickly and walks well with some slack on the leash. Alfalfa will only stay in a heavy-duty crate for extended periods and will escape chain link fencing if left outside by himself. He's not fond of other dogs through the fence and prefers to be the only pet in the home, and he won't do well with cats. He does not seem to know English and won't respond to any commands but he has started responding to his name. As a Belgian Malinois, Alfalfa requires experienced owners familiar with the breed's high maintenance needs. Alfalfa is neutered, vaccinated with DHPP and Bordetella, microchipped, heartworm-negative and on prevention. Alfalfa is due for a rabies vaccination.
