Story
Hi there. My name is Symphony and here is a little info about me: Height: 43 cm Size: Large RESCUE STORY The time we saw Symphony we knew that she was another victim of abandonment. It is not unusual for a dog taken as a puppy to be abandoned when it grows up. She was running from one side to the other in heavy traffic. If she wouldn’t die from starving, she was going to die from a car accident for sure. So we took her to the vet to see if she had a family who was looking for their dog. But we could not find a microchip on her. So our journey with Symphony started. Character Symphony is very social and just looooves human attention. He greets everyone who comes to her section in the shelter with enthusiastic jumps and little happy circles. Outside she is curious, but pays attention to the human. Also is happy to stop for a play with a toy or some cuddles. She is always ready to show her belly with a single touch. Besides her cheerful character, she turns out to be really smart. Symphony would fit best with an active family. She can live with other friendly dogs. We don’t know how she is around cats but due to her curiosity and eagerness to play, you should be ready for training if you have a cat(s). She probably would love to live with children if her enthusiastic character is taken into consideration. Energy Level: Active Prey drive: None observed Fears: None observed Training: She knows how to walk with a leash but still needs training. Health notes: No health issues.

Story
Meet Bucky – A Spirited Companion Awaiting His Forever Home! Age: 3.5 Years Breed: German Shepherd & Siberian Husky Mix Location: Hamilton, Ontario Suitable for: A loving home without young children or other dogs Background: Bucky is a strikingly handsome, playful, and energetic mix of German Shepherd and Siberian Husky. After being a cherished member of his family for 2 years, Bucky is in search of a new forever home due to changes in his family's circumstances. Their arrival of a new baby has led them to make the difficult decision to find Bucky a home where he can receive the attention and care he deserves. Personality: Bucky is a bundle of joy with a zest for life that is contagious. His spirited nature is complemented by his intelligence and loyalty – traits that both his breeds are well-known for. Bucky adores spending time with his humans, whether it's going for a run, playing fetch, or simply lounging around. He has a heart full of love and is always eager to show his affection to those he cares about. Requirements for Adoption: Adult-only home or one with teenagers: Bucky's enthusiastic personality makes him better suited for a home without young children. Preferably no other dogs: To ensure Bucky can receive undivided attention and not have to compete for resources, a home without other dogs is ideal. However, with proper introduction and management, Bucky might learn to coexist peacefully with a canine sibling. Active lifestyle: Bucky thrives in an environment where he can channel his energy through regular exercise and mental stimulation. He is looking for someone who shares his love for adventure and is up for the challenge of keeping both his mind and body engaged. Commitment to training: While Bucky is playful and loving, he will benefit from an owner who is experienced in handling dogs and committed to continuing his training. With the right guidance, Bucky is sure to become an even more amazing companion. Bucky's Promise: In return for your care and leadership, Bucky promises a lifetime of loyalty, companionship, and unforgettable moments. This gorgeous boy is ready to fill your life with excitement, laughter, and love. If you feel you are the right match for Bucky and can offer him the loving, stable home he deserves, please contact us to learn more about the adoption process. Let’s help Bucky find his forever home where he can flourish and be the devoted companion we know he can be.

Story
Holly is a very sweet and gentle girl who would love to come home with you. She is almost 7 months of age and weighs approximately 45 lbs. She is a clever girl, good in her crate, gets along well with other dogs and humans (big and small) Due to her larger size and young dog awkwardness, children over 10 would be recommended. Holly is eager to please and would enjoy the companionship of another dog or be satisfied cuddling with her humans. Her mom is a small Husky and dad is a GSD. Holly is currently being lovingly fostered in Brampton. If you are interested in welcoming Holly into your home, please compete an application to adopt her from our website https://www.jrnc.org/adoption-application
