Meet Baby, a beautiful German Shepherd surrendered on 8/15 to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. Baby weighs 78 pounds and is about 3 years old. The owner stated that he had found the dog abandoned and had kept her for 2 months. Unsure as to why he decided to surrender her to a city shelter. She is a well mannered, calm girl with a submissive and docile nature. She has a chill personality and is gentle. Baby may be house trained as she kept her kennel clean and did her business when I took her out for a walk. She walked very nicely on a leash. She knows the sit command and will do so for treats which she takes ever so politely. She seeks out attention and is perfectly happy with having her soft silky fur stroked and being loved on. I found myself drawn to her sweet natured personality. She absolutely positively does not want the job of watch or guard dog, spending her life in someone's backyard.
