Story
Abu is a four year old Bengal cat. He has been with us since he was a kitten. He is very curious, intelligent, active, and affectionate. He loves getting snuggles and definitely requires extra attention because of his breed. He's very friendly with strangers, and is not afraid to say hello. He loves going on walks in the warm weather.

Story
This week we have a VERY RARE VERY SPECIAL kitty coming into foster. Kiko is a Clouded Jac 5yr old girl who was bought by a family from a breeder but sadly they now have a child with very bad allergies and she has to be rehomed. She is great with people and other cats - fine with gentle dogs too. What is a Clouded Jac? The Clouded Jack Cat is an experimental cat breed that was accepted or registered with The International Cat Association (TICA) in 2015. It is a three-way hybrid being a cross between the Savannah, Bengal and Pixie Bob. They are highly intelligent, affectionate and lower shedding. Not as large as the Savannah or Bengal but not tiny like a Pixie Bob. They are incredibly rare and one of the newest breeds to be recognized internationally. Kiko is fully vetted and ready to go. She has never been outdoors and never should be. She is perfect in every way and just wants someone to cuddle. Friendly playful and it wouldn't be a bad idea for her to have a cat buddy as she has always had one in her old home. Story
Beaker arrived to us from the shelter in pretty rough shape. He was emaciated, had bald spots from a ringworm infection, had weakness in his hind legs, and was suffering from a horrible parasite. After months of TLC and the support of our amazing vets, Beaker is buggie free (though still wobbly), and ready to start looking for a home. He may not always know where his booty is, but he will always do his darnedest to find a lap to sit in, or sunny spot to sprawl out in. Beaker is an excellent climber on textured surfaces (though he can not jump or use stairs), and loves to spend time at the top of the cat tree, and will climb up into bed to sleep with you at night. Despite his legs lagging a bit, he still manages to zoom around the house, playing with his foster cat friends. Here's what Beaker is looking for in a home:  Low sided litter box that he can easily get in and out of with hypoallergenic litter (he does really well with Pretty Litter!)  No stairs or stairs with baby gates to keep him from falling (and humans who will carry him up/down to make sure he is included in your daily excitement)  Humans who won't mind him using his front claws to get up onto furniture / will provide him with ramps as needed Beaker is a special guy but we know he'll make an amazing companion to a family who will love him for his wobbly self. Priority will be given to applications for families that already have a young cat or dog at home to be his buddy, or who will adopt him with one of his foster friends.  All Biscuits and Breadsticks kittens will be spayed/neutered, receive age appropriate vaccinations, and be microchipped prior to adoption. Beaker's adoption fee is $150, and he is available for adoption in the Long Island, NY area.  Interested in adopting one of our kittens? Go to biscuitsandbreadsticks.org/adopt and complete an adoption application to be considered! Due to the high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond to all inquiries individually. If your application looks like it may be a good fit for your selected kitten, one of our adoption coordinators will be in touch within 10 business days to set up a phone/zoom interview. We appreciate your patience, and we look forward to learning more about your family!  ##1950437##
