Story
Hi, I’m Bronco! I’m a 2.5-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog mix with a unique and independent spirit. At 80 pounds, I’m built for outdoor adventures and would love a peaceful yard to call my own—a place where I can patrol and relax on my terms. I’m not your typical cuddly dog, but I have a strong, self-reliant nature that’s all my own. While I may feel uneasy in new situations or around new people, I’m searching for a home that understands me and gives me the space and patience I need to feel secure. Once I feel safe, I’ll happily show my appreciation through quiet companionship and small gestures of trust. I thrive in an environment where I can stay busy with a job or simply enjoy the serenity of a safe outdoor space. I’m not overly energetic or laid-back—I’m a unique mix of watchful and alert, always ready to make sure everything’s in order. I can be cautious around other dogs, but with a thoughtful introduction, I could coexist peacefully with the right companion. My ideal family will understand my independent personality and give me the room I need to feel at ease. I’m neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped, so I’m ready to start a new chapter with a family who appreciates my individuality. If you’re looking for a loyal and vigilant companion who marches to the beat of his own drum, I’d love to meet you! Come meet me! Apply to meet me at foothillshumanesociety.org, or visit me at: 📍 989 Little Mountain Rd, Columbus, NC 28722 🕒 Wednesday through Sunday, 11am–5pm Questions? Email adopt@foothillshumanesociety.org or call (828) 863-4444. Let’s find our perfect rhythm together! 🐾
