This beautiful brindle Mountain Cur mix girl was surrendered to the shelter in February of this year. We believe her to be 3 years old. She came to us very scared and reserved and continues to be a bit guarded until you earn her trust. Once she spends a bit of time with you she shows her gentle side and loves to give hugs. She starts out shy in new environments, but give her time to become comfortable and she shows her playful and sweet side. DD loves to play fetch and does a great job dropping the toy. She also enjoys going for walks, and she LOVES treats and will take them gently. DD is looking for a patient family who will work with her on her courage and positive reinforcement training, while also spoiling her with playtime and love. She has lived with cats and her previous owner reports she gets along with other dogs. She likes to chase balls thrown at her, especially if she can catch them on the bounce. Her other hobbies are lying in the sun and playing with her toys. DD would continue to improve with the consistency of a home of her own. If you have room in your heart and home for this amazing dog, please read our adoption policies and complete an adoption application online.
