I'd like to introduce you to Lily. She's a 4.5 pound Bichpoo born on 9/21/2023 with a heart of gold. Lily loves her humans and the other two small dogs in the house. She has not been tested around large dogs or children yet. Lily is starting to walk nicely on a leash and absolutely loves car rides, even falls asleep on the car ride while in her pet carrier bag. She is being potty trained, that is going well. She is learning basic commands like sit and stay, and gives you a paw...but she expects lots of treats and neck scratches in return. Lily really enjoys being outside playing with her buddies then going into her crate to take a long nap. She sleeps in her crate at night without issue. Lily would be a great addition to any loving home. Lily will be spayed soon. She is up to date on shots, de-wormed, micro-chipped and fecal tested negative. Meet Neeka. She joined our rescue after her owner fell on hard times and could no longer care for her. She is outgoing, friendly and affectionate. Neeka loves to cuddle and to curl up with her humans to watch TV and get belly rubs. She is sweet, happy and loves everyone, dogs and humans alike, including kids (not sure about cats yet). Neeka is a 12 year old, 18 lb female and believed to be a Bichon Frise, possibly purebred or mixed with Shih Tzu and/or toy poodle. She is smart, playful and despite her age, quite energetic and feisty. Her breed is considered bright, highly trainable and agile and said to be one of the world’s great 'personality dogs'. And Neeka is no exception because although she’s friendly with other dogs, she’s a bit of a princess and likes to let even the big dogs know exactly who’s in charge. Alert and curious, Bichons are known to make nice little watchdogs who just want to protect their families. Neeka does this by barking if she hears or sees someone outside. She also loves to chase a ball or play with her toys or drag her bed around the room. Her double layer, curly coat is considered hypo-allergenic and needs to be groomed on a regular basis. She does have a small patch of fur on her back that is still growing back in after a minor skin infection. Neeka has a lot of personality and a lot of love to give. She is up-to-date on all her vetting and vaccinations. She is spayed and already microchipped. She is being fostered in a private home. Emily is looking for a great fur-ever home! She is a 10 pound, female shih-tzu born on 12/05/21. Emily was released by a breeder who decided they did not need her anymore and has never been bred. She has lived in a cage her entire life, so she is not house or leash trained. Because Emily is very skittish and fearful, she will do best in a quiet home with a patient, experienced adopter (with no young children) willing to work with her and let her get comfortable at her own pace. She will need a fenced yard with another calm, socialized dog to teach her the ropes. She is starting to show her adventurous side by exploring her foster home, enjoying looking out the window, and being outside.
