Story
Hey there! I'm Claire, or Claire Bear as my foster mom likes to call me. I am the most beautiful 3 year old Shichon (Shitzu and Bichon). I was released by a commercial breeder with my 10 week old puppy Ivan. Ivan has been adopted and I am so excited to find my forever home! Presently, I'm being fostered with a gaggle of small dog friends, young and old, male and female. Although I get along with everyone, I most love my foster mom. I would love a home where my mom is retired or works from home. I like to sit close by and oversee things. Of course, I also like to help with the chores, like laundry; those socks are my favorite;) I am curious about everything and think I belong everywhere lol. I hear foster mom frequently calling my name and asking me what I'm doing. I absolutely love running around the yard and exploring! I travel well in the car and I'd love to run errands with my forever mom. At night, I love sleeping in the bed with foster mom but I understand that sometimes, during the day, I must be in a crate to keep me safe while foster mom can't be there with me. I take awhile to warm up to strangers but once we've built trust, I am as loyal as they come. My forever family needs to be patient with me and understand it likely won't be love at first sight. I'm more looking for that committed love where we take things slow, learn about each other and forge a strong bond that will endure a lifetime. That kind of relationship is worth waiting for. Until I know I can trust you, I will be a flight risk, and therefore foster mom says that my forever home must have a fenced in yard. A confident resident dog would help me to adjust to my forever home. I'm doing well with house-training but regression in a new environment is common. I haven't been around kids but I would think that older, respectful dog savvy kids would be kinda fun. I am around 15 pounds. I've been spayed and microchipped. I'm up to date on my shots. So now, I'm just looking for my forever! Could that be you? If so, apply here https://www.zoeshouserescue.com/adopt Claire is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County, and all prospective adopters with pets should be prepared to visit her for a meet and greet. Story
Rosie is 9 years old and a senior dog who has some anxiety so she does best in a home where there are no other animals and no children, even though she’s extremely sweet and patient with them. She would make a great companion dog for an older couple. She is timid at first but then she warms up. As long as she is taken outside to potty she doesn’t have accidents inside the home. She’s amazing and needs a good, calm home.

Hello, my name is: AbbyDOB: 07/04/2016Sex/Breed: Spayed female Bichon FriseWeight: 9.6 lbsFriends: Women, dogs, kids (cats unknown)Traits: Shy, dainty, sweet, go-with-the-flow, sometimes spunkyRescued From: Breeding kennel Little Abby can't wait to meet her forever family! She is a sensitive little girl and is most comfortable with women and kids. She loves other dogs and feels confident around them, so having a doggy buddy in her home will be important. She loves to be by her person, though isn't smothering with her love. She prefers to be next to you or near you. She is a go-with-the-flow kinda girl who is fine with spending the day on the couch or going on a walk or hike. If she is with her people, she is happy! Abby loves to look out the window, curious about everything that is going on around her. Her ideal home will have a fenced in yard for her as she likes to be outside on nice days. She is mostly house trained, walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and is eager to please. Abby is beautiful both inside and out and is looking for a patient family to love and spoil her... could that be yours? All our dogs are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Foxy is a 5 year old spayed female bichon who weighs 10 pounds. This spunky girl is so sweet and just wants to be loved. She has tested great with other dogs, loves people and is going to make an excellent companion. Foxy has never lived in a home, so she may need work on potty training, but she keeps her kennel clean. She has previously lived with kids and she is a very loving girl. Story
Greta is a 6 year old spayed female bichon who weighs 12 pounds. She was rescued along with 4 other dogs in partnership with another organization that got them to safety. These girls are very well rounded dogs who are sweet, adorable, friendly and love other dogs. They have most likely never lived in a home so may need work on potty training, but they are great in their crates and love to be held. Do you have room in your heart and home for this cutie? Story
Hi, I'm Daisy! I am a 7 year old Female Shih Tzu. I came to Zoe's House from a commercial breeder where I was bred to make puppies. This was my whole life so I was a little nervous being in a house and with people. I have come to enjoy being petted and will seek this out sometimes. I know my name and will respond when called. Also I respond to finger clicks and a gesture such as when it is time to go in my crate to eat or to go outside. I'm a smart girl just a bit shy at first. I don't really play much. I never got to learn to. I really like other dogs and will cuddle with them if they are calm like me. I am up to date on vaccines and spayed already. I am still working on housebreaking but have made really good progress in this area. I don't like using my crate to potty in. I will do business outside if I'm taken out regularly. I require a home with another calm dog please. I was around kids and am good with them if they know to respect my space and don't pester me all of the time. Kids 5 and up would probably be best. While a fence is not required I really love the free space to run. I just need a secure way to keep me safe when I'm outside. No running loose for me please. I've come too far to be hurt or lost! I'm being fostered in Schuylkill County so any potential adopters will have to travel to meet him. If you believe that Daisy is a good fit for you, please apply at https://www.zoeshouserescue.com/adopt. Zoe's House Kennel #9117 Sinking Spring, PA 19608

Story
Meet Chloe, a very happy 6/7 yo eight-pound Maltese with the energy of a 2-3 yo (when she's not sleeping, which is a lot), who was surrendered by a commercial breeder after living the life of a breeding mama. Chloe loves being with her person, happily napping on a chest, lap or belly of anyone who wants to give her a warm spot and snuggles. She loves her crate, especially if the door is left open so she can come and go when she wants. She sleeps in it all through the night in the bedroom with it open and is hysterical to watch wake up in the morning. Using her front legs and paws to rub her floppy 'Gremlin' ears and the sleep from her eyes, rolling over on her side just waiting for the anticipated belly rubs she invites and has learned to love! She's working on her potty training, occasionally having peeing accidents (regression is common when changing environments). Chloe has been spayed and has had a full mouth tooth extractions done so wet food mixed with water to make a soup works well for her, not only so she can get it out a bowl easier, but because she does not like to drink water out of a bowl. She has learned to tolerate a collar on her and has been adapting well to walking on a leash. She's made it around almost an entire block! She's little, and she loves exploring new sights and smells, so we don't get too far with her little legs moving a mile a minute, but she would happily be carried around a few more blocks! She still needs to work on her commands, choosing to make up her own mind if she wants to listen or not. Due to her small size and aversion to loud noises and sudden movements, we feel that she would not do well in a home with young children. She would love a home where her new family is home more than not. Chloe is UTD on all vaccines, altered and on preventives. If interested in adding this sweet little girl to your family, apply today! Any family interested in Chloe will need to be willing to travel to Berks County for a meet and greet. All residential dogs will also need to come to the meet. www.zoeshouserescue.com PO Box 2372 Reading, PA 19608 Kennel License #9117
