Story
Introducing Camp Katy!!   This 4 month old fluff ball is sweeter than a "Teenage Dream" and will light up your life like a "Firework" .   Preference is given to local adopters within one hour of 22974, and continued positive reinforcement training with GDU is required for her adoption.   At the time you are seeing this post, this dog is still available for adoption. But please know that we may be working on multiple applications already, and any one of them could be approved at any time. Please READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION and complete an adoption application, if you are interested in any of our animals. Application at www.greendogsunleashed.org If you send an inquiry to ask if the dog is still available, or just tell us you are interested, your inquiry will not be answered. FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. We can do NOTHING without that. No, we cannot tell you if he would be a match for your family without seeing an application. PLEASE KEEP READING for info. */*/* PLEASE NOTE: The first communication you will receive after completing an application will be an email response, which will have instructions on how to proceed. Please check your inbox AND spam folders for the next 48 hours, for this email. We will not begin processing an application without the information requested in that email. */*/* We are happy to consider applicants from out of state on most dogs. Please read the description to see if this dog is an exception. If the applicant is approved to adopt, they MUST be willing to come to our location in Troy, VA, for a meet and greet. If all parties agree that the pup and family are a good fit, they would take the pup home at that time. For more information about our mission and for an APPLICATION for adoption, please go to www.greendogsunleashed.com. GDU does ask a minimum adoption fee of $400.00. This does not even come close to covering all expenses created by animals while in rescue. We are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum fee includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate,, heartworm test and preventative, if age appropriate, and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying, if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. In an attempt to avoid tummy upset from a sudden change of food, the foster family may include a small, transitional bag of the food the dog/puppy has been eating. And if the dog/puppy has grown attached to a special item (like a toy or blanket), they may send that along, as well. */*/* Young puppies will receive age-appropriate vaccines, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters may be required to provide additional puppy boosters and at 16 weeks of age, a rabies vaccine. Future annual vaccines, testing and monthly heartworm preventative are REQUIRED, and will be the financial responsibility of the adopter. *****Due to the sheer number of animals and applications in our program, coupled with a limited number of volunteers, applicants MUST have patience as we process applications.   If you do not hear back from us, the animal may have been adopted.   We strive to let people know but sadly cannot offer reasons for denial beyond that.  Any harassment of our volunteers will go unanswered and we will simply block you.   Our volunteers spend their time working hard to ensure the very best for each animal.   Please remember the animal, not the applicant, is our client.*****  ##2080172##

Story
Meet Ollie! Ollie is about 3.5 years old and weighs 13 lbs. He came to our rescue when a local breeder could no longer care for all of her breeding dogs. Ollie is very timid and not used to being touched. He hates loud noises and moving too fast. He is slowly getting more comfortable in his foster home. Ollie will need another dog in his forever home. He likes to sit by his foster's side and learned to jump on the couch by watching the resident dogs. He is not house trained. He spent the majority of his life in a crate before coming to our rescue. Ollie would do well with dog savvy kids 11 years and up. Ollie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Approximate Age: 4 Approximate Weight: 10lbs Sweet Dakota had a rough start but she is ready for a new life. She is good with the dog and cat she lives with at her foster home. She is quiet, does well in her crate, and though shy she wants to be by your side at all times. She enjoys walks but seems almost confused by grass (typical of a pup from a hoarding situation) so she often prefers the sidewalk. She enjoys pets once she is given time to warm up. All the affection and attention is new to her. She still spends most of her day hiding in her crate or under a bed because this new world is still a bit big and scary for her but she is worth the wait for the right adopter. She would appreciate another dog in the hope to help her feel more comfortable. Hope to see you soon! *********************************************************************** Visit our website for an application to adopt. https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-application What breed am I?
