Story
This pet was brought in as a stray and will NOT be available for adoption through our program. All stray animals brought in are posted on the gallery to hopefully be reunited with their families. Each pet is evaluated upon arrival, and throughout their stay, at the Animal Center and we do our best to place the animal in the setting most appropriate for them. Sometimes, they may be better served through one of our Transfer Partners due to the intervention needed, ongoing care required or a quieter setting for that individual. We want our animals to put their best paw forward. If you are a 501c3 rescue and are interested in partnering with WCAC to help this pet, and others, you can find more information on how to help at: https://www.wakegov.com/departments-government/animal-services/community-partners/transfer-program If this is your pet, please contact us immediately at AnimalCenter@wake.gov Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Smoke Weight: 7.5 Age: 1yrs 0mths 0wks

Story
Meet Winston! He's a 14 years young Norwegian Forest Cat Mix. He made his way into our rescue due to no fault of his own. His owner had some health concerns and unfortunately could not care for our sweet boy. Winston has heart disease (HCM) and has two medication that he takes daily. He has had an echo ultrasound and we're confident that his medications will allow him to live out his years in bliss. You would never know that Winston is a senior, he still has plenty of energy and he LOVES to play with a laser toy. He also enjoys following his humans and meowing for affection and looking out the window admiring the birds. He's so so sweet and gives an immediate purr purr purr. We don't know how he is with other cats and dogs, but with a slow introduction we think he would adjust fine. You know you want this sweet senior in your life.Adoption fee of $90 includes neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, FIV/FeLV testing, and flea preventionApply here: http://2pawsup.org/2pawsup_wp/forms/adoption-form/February 22, 2025, 11:43 am
