Story
Dottie is guessed to be a 1-2 yr old Black and Tan Coonhound and is ready to be loved! This stunning girl is shy at first, but is learning how good it is to be loved on by humans. Due to never being socialized or being in a loving home, she will do best with a confident canine buddy in her future home and a VERY patient adopter. She absolutely loves to play with other dogs. She is house trained and crate trained. She needs a patient and loving home to show her how good life can be as a beloved family member. If you have a warm snuggle lap and love to give, she is the right dog for you! She will need her safe place kennel and a small play yard around the kennel to begin with while you spend time in her safe area helping her to get used to you and her new surroundings. She will also need a 5-6 foot fenced yard and preferably being slowing walked in the yard on a leash until she gains confidence with you and her new life. She would do okay if an adopter lived in a very quiet neighborhood and did not have a fence but with the scared dogs it is best to teach them to walk in your house and then in your fenced yard to help them learn to trust you and their new environment. Dottie is waiting patiently to find her FurEver Family!! Precious gentle-soul is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes and rehabilitates timid, shy, scared or unsocialized dogs. She is absolutely adorable and her eyes will melt your heart! Her foster mom thinks she would do better in a quiet home with adults or older children to work with her. Another confident dog could be helpful as she loves other dogs, but not necessary if the adopter can help her continue on her confidence journey. Her foster mom has an amazing rehabilitation protocol to help these scared dogs and is working with her on potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, kennel training, doggie door training and if time permits, leash and car training. She also has an amazing group of volunteers that meet twice a week to help socialize all the scared foster dogs in her care. There are lots of other dogs at her foster mom's house so we know she is dog friendly. Her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced slowly and properly. She will need an adopter, who will give her love and patience. Please consider this adorable dog as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. The shy dogs become the most loyal dogs, who adore their humans. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter, who is willing to do a minimum of one paid training session with her. This training session is NOT basic obedience, but instead, is designed for rescue dogs and teaches the adopter how to work to build the dogs confidence and overcome any trauma the dog may have experienced. This training will help the family and this sweet dog adjust to their new life together much quicker than trying to do it on your own. She provides a discount on training to her adopters. The dogs that she fosters truly need an adopter to be their hero and offer them lots of time, patience, love and a safe environment that they can slow grow in confidence.

Story
Meet Pongo, a delightful foxhound mix! He's a true 'Just Add Water' kind of dog – ready to fit right into your life with minimal fuss. This friendly fellow has the classic hound charm: a gentle spirit, a curious nose, and a soulful gaze. He enjoys a good leisurely stroll, a paced jog, and hikes of any variety. He’s an avid sunbather and also excels at digging dirt dens. Pongo’s got a sweet disposition and a knack for making friends, both human and canine but he LOVES cats, so much so that he really shouldn’t be in a home around them. (Unless your cats love to be chased approximately 24 hours a day.) Pongo’s so ready to find his forever person(s)- Just add love, and watch this guy bloom! Pongo is a 3-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $350 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Pongo is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. He would do best in a home with no felines. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption!
