Meet Jimmy! Jimmy (7 years, 48 lbs.) is very beautiful dog, he's your typical hound, lazy, and super mellow. If your looking for someone to keep the squirrels, raccoons, opossums, etc out of your yard he's your perfect candidate. He enjoys playing with bigger dogs and even hanging out in the pool with his friends! Jimmy can be a little nervous of new places and sounds but that is nothing some treats can't fix!

Story
Introducing Sweet Simone! This approximately 10 month old girl is oh so sweet and affectionate.  Simone is a happy, playful girl and like her sister Nadia has the cutest wigglebutt you have ever seen!  Simone and her sister Nadia were born to a stray Mom and were found living in an abandoned dilapidated house. They came to us scared and shy but have come a long way. Simone is still shy and cautious with strangers so she will need a little extra patience in the beginning. She is overall a well adjusted, delightful girl with a perfect temperament. She has a beautiful feminine face and athletic build. She weighs a healthy 50lbs.  She is a stunning girl!   Simone is up to date on all vaccines. Spayed,  heartworm negative and microchipped. Crate trained, we are working on leash training.  This precious girl is lovingly fostered in Rutledge GA.    ##1172345##

Story
Deputy was born to a stray Mom in a dilapidated abandoned shack.  Completely feral and terrified of humans the Mom could not and would not be caught. It was a freezing cold rainy January day when I first saw her litter of 14 huddled together in the corner of the abandoned house with no windows or doors. Too young to take, all we could do was leave food for the Mom each day hoping she would not leave or move her puppies. But she did move them numerous times. Sadly we continued to find dead puppies until one day they all disappeared. At age 4.5 months we were notified that 5 puppies were eating at the abandoned house. We recognized them by their markings and age. These pups were also feral by this time. But we could not leave them to live their lives as strays in a rural county with no animal control or shelter. Where they would likely be shot, poisoned or trapped to be used as bait dog's.  Three of Deputy's siblings have been adopted and are absolutely wonderful pets. Deputy and his brother Roscoe are still being fostered. Deputy was always the most cautious boy of his litter. He is extremely smart and curious, wants to play and be included, but often at a distance. It's been a slow process to gain his trust. Deputy bears a striking resemblance to Paw Patrols "Chase." He has coonhound markings including the distinctive "pumpkin seeds" above his big sweet brown eyes. With a long basset hound shaped body, short legs, and adorable east/west facing chubby front paws.  Deputy is one of a kind and so stinking cute. Deputy is good with other dogs of all ages & sizes and has been introduced to cats but at a distance. He's a healthy stocky boy with a lush shiny coat. He has the most expressive eyes. That tell me he wants to come closer but just needs to learn more trust and confidence.  Deputy will require a very patient adopter or foster home that is experienced with fearful dogs. His foster home currently has a lot of dogs, including a medical foster. They are managing so many personalities and dynamics they cannot give him the one on one attention he desperately needs. He absolutely needs a fenced yard. Dirt Road Doggie’s Rescue will provide everything he needs and our full support as he transitions to new surroundings. He is a terrific watch dog. Keenly aware and protective. He will be challenging. But like his siblings, once the barrier is lifted you will have an amazing little guy to love. Deputy needs a hero. ♥  Deputy is being lovingly fostered in Rutledge Ga.  ##816349##

Story
I found Dobby in a park. A car drove away and Dobby sat. I went back two days later and he was still there. I've had him since October. Kept him through the winter. He is high energy and would be happiest in an active environment. Great running partner and very loyal, protective. He likes the outdoors.

Story
Hi, my name is Kalina. I know that I am beautiful and a dog that when everybody sees my picture they will want to have me as their own. But you see, I lived a life without humans My entire life. I was just used to make babies. So many beautiful, beautiful babies. But I was never given love, affection, or touch, and I did not even get a minimal amount of attention. So I am not easy. I am not the dog that will come to you if you are looking at me. I will never let you reach down and rub my entire body, at least not until we have known each other for a while. I will barely get close enough for you to just feel my nose and give me a loving touch on my face. But if you give me a chance, I will make small strides. I don't know if I'll ever be that loving couch potato kind of dog. But I do surprise my fommy sometimes and get up on the couch when she's not paying attention and snuggle at her feet. But if you move, I'll move.  I will sneak up on you and boop your butt when you're doing dishes. I will bark at you when I want to come in the house and probably even make you leave the house so that I can come in the house. It will take me a while to take treats from your hand. But I will do it eventually. I need time and slow movements—more time than most. I need someone to build a routine with me. Someone who understands that is who I need. From her Fommy: Understanding that this dog is not a typical dog is so important. As her Foster, it took me months before she would even allow me into the same room with her. We have been together for eight months now, and she's still only coming to the room with me if I'm not looking at her. She loves her crate. She walks right into it as long as I'm not in the path and have my back to her. I tell you this just so you understand how special she is.  Even though she is so standoffish, I know that she loves me with everything that she has. But when she presents her love, it doesn't look like a typical kind of love from any other dog. And this girl needs somebody that's willing to accept that.  She will absolutely require another dog in her household because that is what helps her thrive and to show her safety. She will absolutely need a crate in her home because that is her safe spot. And a fenced-in yard is definitely a must because she is a flight risk. She does not know how to walk on leash and I don't know if she ever will be able to. The real world is just very scary for her. When I take her out she is on multiple leashes and that is just to get her from the house to the car. That being said, I also think a farm environment would work for her. As long as it's not near big roads. You would still need to work with her first to get her comfortable. And she needs another dog to help her with that. But if you give her a nice picnic table to sunbathe on, she will be ever so happy. When it comes down to it, she's a very loyal dog to her property and people.  She's amazing with dogs and children, although with dogs, she can be annoyingly in their face/muzzle area for a long time. And with children, she is very easily startled, so I would say older children. A calm/laid-back home would be ideal.  She is an amazingly sweet, perfect dog, but she's not your typical dog. You are never going to make her into what you want. You just have to be okay with becoming who she needs. If you're up for that task, please inquire for this girl  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions.
