Story
****please go to pawshancock.org to fill out an application so we can meet!**** Hello, I'm Josie! I'm known around here for my friendly nature and playful spirit. The backyard is my favorite place to explore, sniff, wrestle with my foster brother, and sometimes just lay in the shade. I don't mind being in my crate, but if I have a choice I would much prefer to curl up on the couch or the bed with you. Car rides are fun too. I am a loyal and loving companion when we have bonded. I even have a little pink heart on top of my nose! If you're looking for a wonderful companion, look no further. Adopt me, and let's make beautiful memories together. DOB: 8/1/2019 Adoption Fee: $150

Story
Some key points to note about Freckles are as follows: 1. She was neglected in her original home leading to behaviors such as anxiety (she needs lots of love and reassurance) and scavenging tendencies (counter surfing, food snatching, and resource guarding). We rescued her in December of 2021. 2. She has done well with our other dog and our children; however, her size has caused some small accidents for our youngest children, not because she was meaning to. (Tail smacks to the face, bad spatial awareness knocking kids down, jumping and causing injury, humping, etc). 3. It is unknown to us if she would be okay with other small pets such as cats, or animals she may see as prey. She is a hunter at heart. 4. She needs a lot of stimulation with toys and walks and games OR she needs a pretty large yard (she will wreck grass in small yards). 5. She is acquainted with crates but usually for no more than a few hours at a time, not all day. Please ask for more specific information
