Story
Hi there! I'm Rosie. Don't you just love my beautiful floppy ears? I'm the sweetest and most beautiful girl-- based on my darling personality, you'd never guess how rough my life was before being rescued by BFP. I am affectionate, loving, and do amazing with all people, dogs, and even cats! If you're looking for a true best friend to snuggle or adventure with-- I'm your girl! I'll be happy as long as we're together and i trust people easily, despite my ruff start... I spent the first 8 years of my life living in a tiny, dirty cage and being denied any form of enrichment, care, or interaction. I was used as a hunting dog, and someone tattooed my ear to identify me. For years, I was known only as a number-- I never had a name or knew a caring touch. When BFP heard my story, they knew they had to help me! Now, I'm thriving at BFP's adoption center while I wait for an adopter to notice me! Could you give me the furever home I've been dreaming of? My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!* *Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter is able to travel to the animal's current location for pickup.* If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ Please email the Beagle Freedom Project Team with questions at: adopt@bfp.org. ABOUT BEAGLE FREEDOM PROJECT: Beagle Freedom Project is the world's leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research. CHANCE MUST BE ADOPTED SOON AS HIS FOSTER MOTHER CANNOT KEEP HIM MUCH LONGER! Let me introduce Chance, one of the coolest dogs in our rescue! His foster mother has medical issues, and she wants him to find his furever home ASAP! This awesome guy was abandoned in the woods, alone in the middle of nowhere, when he was still a puppy – scared and left to die young. He is extremely sweet. Chance loves toys and playing fetch - playtime is high on his wish list. He is very friendly, never meets a stranger, and loves absolutely everyone he meets. He still has a puppy spirit and needs activity & exercise! He would be great for an active family that hikes or runs, as long as there are cuddles and belly rubs. His leash walking is progressing well. He gets along well with other dogs with proper introduced. He will be happiest as a loving family companion. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We'll transport to a destination near you every weekend, alternating between the Northeast and the Great Lakes.

Story
Everyone, this is Rupert.Rupert is an extremely handsome hound dog with a beautiful black and tan coat. Rupert weighs just over 60 pounds and is super friendly. When Rupert came to us, he was extremely scared. Even after warming up to us, you have to go extremely slow with Rupert so he knows you mean him no harm. We aren`t sure what happened to Rupert to make him like this, but we are confident someone will be devoted to giving him all the love and attention he needs to regain trust with humans again.Rupert is a true hound, so if you have cats in or around your home, unfortunatley Rupert will not be the best choice for your home. He does, however, do well with both female and male dogs. If you have another dog friend at home, we just ask that after you meet Rupert yourself, you bring your pooch up to meet Rupert in person. Come see Rupert and his friends at the shelter today. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is $150
