Story
Arlo showed up at my house on September 30th when I returned home from Chatt. I did post him to see if he had an owner, no response. So I surrendered him to the McMinn County Humane Society. I turned him in on October 18th, 10 days later they called me and said they were going to pull him, not even put him up for adoption. I cried and took him back. Got a kennel and took him to 1 hr training. He needs a big yard to run, attention, and lots of training. He would be an amazing dog. He has some behavior issues that can be corrected. I have been working on these from his training sessions. He is learning very well but needs more attention than I can give him. He is very sweet and just needs someone who can work with him and be patient and love him. Update: Arlo is getting better day by day. He does have his moments but with structure, he is so much better. I can tell that with him getting older, the puppy nipping is getting much better.

Story
Chopper (black and tan) and Maxx (black and brindle) are in need of a loving home. I would love to keep them together as they are a bonded pair. They have more confidence when they are together, however they have been separated for vet visits or walks and have done just fine. Chopper is a sweet boy who absolutely loves being loved on! He is full of energy as expected with his breed, but is great with running around in the yard with kids. He is good with cats and other dogs as well. Of the pair, chopper is the more outgoing one. While Maxx will mostly just follow what Chopper does.

Story
Pancho is a handsome young black and tan coonhound from Blueridge, GA.  He was a stray turned in to the local shelter and rescued by LDR.  He was already neutered and is being totally vetted. Pancho has an old injury in his right eye that is being examined to see if the eye can be saved.  He is very sweet and affectionate, gets along great with other dogs but has not been tested with cats.  He likes to sleep in your arms at night.  This is a great family dog!  If you are interested in adopting him, you must have a fenced yard.  Please email Ron Stoessell at rontoessell@gmail.com for further information.October 25, 2024, 12:13 am

Rockdale was involved in a car accident nearly two years ago and was subsequently adopted for a year, only to be returned to us, which was not his fault. His adopter could no longer provide care for him, forcing him to leave behind his family and sister. Now, Rockdale is in search of a permanent home. He enjoys snuggling and playing, and he has gotten along well with both male and female dogs. Meet Missy Lou Who! Missy can be described in one word "Sweetness. She loves life. She's very active and will help you get your 10k steps! She loves people! Missy is a really good dog who found herself homeless through no fault of her own like most dogs in shelters. She deserves to find a home that will spoil her. She came in with her brother and got a home quickly. Missy has been here a long time, through no fault of her own. She will need time to decompress from being at the shelter so long. She is active but knows how to calm down and cuddle. If you are having a bad day, she will cheer you up. Come meet her and let her put a smile on your face. She's a special one. Fenced yard recommended. She can be protective once in the home so training would be a great idea to set her up for success. Missy is 3-4 and is about 40 to 50lbs.
