Long story long: I took in a Rover client's dog (Ruthie) between Hurricanes Helene & Milton when the owner's houseboat became unlivable (he actually lived with me for a few weeks before moving to Ohio for a fresh start). It has now been five months and the dog owner has not made any effort to get her or find an alternative home for her (believe me, I've been trying with him! He's 100% ghosting me.) and I can no longer keep her and it's so not fair to the dog (or me for that matter). It's killing me to do this but if I wanted a dog I would 100% keep her. Thank you for any consideration. She is a sweetheart! A little skittish until she gets to know you and has a "thing" for rabbits, but otherwise one of the loving-est dogs I've ever met with SO much personality, especially in those amber eyes!!!

Coda is a brown and black male Black Mouth Cur mix. He is approximately 4 years old. Coda gets along well with adults and children. He is a work in progress with other dogs and we are not sure how he would do with a new furry friend. His favorite things to do is play tug or fetch! Coda has been described as a lap dog, calm but energetic, full of kisses, a jumper, and an all around gentle guy. He is fully potty trained to use a doggie door, but may need some training if transitioning to a new home without one. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Friday and 10:30 – 4 on Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).
