Story
Hey there Delilah, what's it like in New York City?Although she can take a little bit to warm up, Delilah is very playful once she opens up. She loves getting brushed, takes treats gently, and knows how to "sit" like a proper lady. Don't let her shyness fool you, underneath her baby doll eyes is a very affectionate dog who loves to give kisses! Delilah could really use a loving home where she can grow her confidence and feel safe. She loves to crawl right next to you and would make a great cuddle buddy. She has also met other dogs very politely on leash at the shelter and might do well with other dogs at home or in the outside world! She has also done well being crate-trained, and is a smart girl who will flourish with some additional training.Click the "I'm Interested" button to be connected with her foster family.

Story
Callum is a handsome Black Mouth Cur/Shepherd Mix looking for his forever family! He is estimated to be 1.5yr old, and weighs 65lbs. He is a happy guy with a big lovable head, who always appears to be smiling! Callum is dog friendly, and loves everyone he meets - including kids. He is smart and eager to please - he&#39s house trained, crate trained and is learning all his basic commands. Callum has a medium energy level, he&#39s a wonderful walking partner with great leash manners, or he&#39s happy to be your snuggle partner! Callum is the total package - an excellent personality, smart and well trained, and sweet and lovable. He would do well in just about any household, and doesn&#39t require a fenced yard if he is walked regularly throughout the day. He would love a forever family with other dogs and kids but would be content in any loving environment. This cutie is also great in the car, and would enjoy going on fun outings with his family. Callum is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet boy, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.August 16, 2024, 9:03 pm

Story
Meet Rita! Sweet Rita spent over 4 months sitting in an overcrowded metro area shelter just waiting to be saved after her puppies were aborted. We can only imagine how sad, confused, and scared she was! That's all behind her now though! Rita is such a sweet happy girl now that she's out of the shelter and settled into her foster home! She spends her days running and playing with all of her dog friends and her nights snuggled up with a soft blanket - no more scary shelters for her! The one final piece of Rita's Happily Ever After still missing is her very own forever family! Could that be you? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org ##1793047##

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Rita is a funny little gal who loves playing and snuggling up to her people. If no one is available for playtime, she is happy to entertain herself by throwing balls and toys up in the air and catching them. She's just the kind of dog that can always put you in a better mood!  Lucky Rita landed at animal control as a stray in the Fall. But by Winter a Good Samaritan plucked her out as a foster and put her through training to make her stand out from the crowd. While in training, she learned to temper her play with other dogs a bit, as she used to have a tendency to get over-stimulated and rowdy.  Over time, Rita has learned how to politely engage with other pups and to pick up on their cues when they're tired of playing. She is very eager to please and learn, so she looks forward to her very own person who can continue to show her the ropes of pet life. Visitors to the home are a little bit stressful to Rita, so at this time we are looking for a child free, low traffic home for her. Rita thrives with routine and few surprises. As far as love goes, it comes quite naturally to Miss Rita. She is always happy to greet you and lean into you for affection.  See more photos/videos of sweet Rita: https://www.icloud.com/sharedalbum/#B18J058xyJs6jWO Age:  2-3 years Weight: 35 lbs Temperament: Very friendly with familiar people, but needs a slow intro to home visitors; energetically playful with dogs Training: Housetrained, crate-trained and knows commands Vetting: Spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.August 19, 2024, 5:01 pm
