Story
Handsome, microchipped, neutered male Black Mouth Cur/Boxer. Crate and house trained. Adopted from rescue thinking he was a little older and almost full grown at 40 lbs. Either due to misjudging age or lack of exercise during heartworm treatment, he is now 62 lbs. 1-1/2 yrs. old. He knows sit, down, great in car, good on leash/Freedom harness. Now heartworm free and on preventative. UTD on vaccines. Food motivated, loves playing “find it”, belly rubs and sun bathing. Bright, alert, enjoys outdoors, but content to rest or chew a beef cheek roll. He has not been socialized, so he’s overly exuberant when meeting people. Sadly, he is too big for me to handle. He needs someone with the time to provide structured training and will be the best dog ever. No destructive behaviors, does not try to steal my food and never has attempted to get up on furniture. Does tear up his stuffies, but spits out the fluff and squeakers (although I would always supervise).

Story
Hey there, future adventure buddy! I'm Mountain Dewd, a Black Mouth Cur mix with a big heart and a friendly smile, tipping the scales at 63lbs of pure joy. At a little over a year old, I'm still in my prime playful puppy stage, ready to fill your life with laughter, cuddles, and fun! I'm a friendly and social guy who loves making new friends!. My goofy charm and curious nature make every day an adventure. Whether it's discovering new scents on our walks or figuring out how to get that treat out of the puzzle toy, I'm always up for something new and exciting. I might be a bit doofy sometimes, but that just adds to my irresistible charm! I love to play, and my smarts help me learn new tricks and commands quickly-I'm eager to please and always ready for a good challenge. When playtime is over, I'm all about those cozy cuddles and snuggles. I'm also housetrained, so I'm a well-behaved guy who knows how to keep things tidy at home. If you're looking for a companion who's playful, smart, and oh-so-cuddly, I could be the one for you. But before we can have our first meet-up, please make sure to submit your adoption application online. This helps my friends at the shelter set up everything for our introduction. Remember, all of us here come home spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. I'm ready to jump into my new life with you, happy and healthy! Let's be BFFs! Filling out an application is super duper easy and it puts you at no obligation to adopt if we aren't the perfect match. You can use this quick and easy link to meet me soon: https://foothillshumanesociety.org/adopt/adoption-application/ Can't wait to share some awesome adventures and snuggle time with you!
