Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Hello world, my name is Sadie and I am looking for a new home.Just look into my eyes and you can read how loving and loyal I am. My foster mom calls me her chunky love bug. I am 5 years old and weigh in at 76 lbs, however I could stand to lose a few pounds. Working on that in my foster home, as my foster mom takes me for walks and runs. I do get along with other dogs, but not cats so much. Older calmer children in the home please. I love to go in the car. I do have an intimidating bark and look, but it is all for show. I do know basic commands, but have gotten away with things for so long, I require a firm hand with training. I am a strong girl. Hey, how do you like my beautiful brown eyes? One thing for sure, I love, love, love to be with my person. Dedicated and loyal, that is me!! If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:  adoption application For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website www.rosesrescue.net to fill out the online adoption application. Story
Noel came from a family that got way over their heads with the number of dogs in their care. With 21 dogs in the house and very few visitors Noel didn't have much exposure to what it means to be a good doggy companion. She has spent the last couple months learning from the pack and is making great progress. She is a beagle, mountain cur mix so all hound. She is 45lbs and about 18 months old. She has a surprisingly deep bark for her size but doesn't bark often. She should be crated at night to avoid accidents. She is slow to trust but very loving once she realizes she isn't going to be hurt. She is good with cats and other dogs, just needs a slow introduction. Adoption Fee: $360. All our dogs are microchipped and up-to-date with age appropriate shots.

Story
If you want to see some cute videos of me, scroll to the end of the pictures and watch right from here! If I do not currently have any videos up, just have some patience. Hi, I'm Gully and I was really hoping you'd take me home and be my person. I am a really good boy that just wants to find his forever home. I was found as a stray and my owners never came for me. I don't really know why, I was always nice to them. I love all people and I have plenty of spunk to keep you active. I love to play. Do you have a ball? I am not sure if I like other dogs or not, so I'd like to meet any potential siblings, before making a final decision. Will you take me home? The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Romeo. I'm about 2 years old and I weigh about 68 lbs. I was found as a stray a couple of months ago in the Salineville area, but was recently just reported to and picked up by the pound. I ran loose at someone's home without access to shelter all that time and they didn't call in to get me help until right before the super cold weather. Thankfully, I was caught and I didn't have to endure the worse of the winter weather outdoors. When I first came in, I was afraid of everyone and everything. I didn't know how to walk on a leash and just about everything new was super scary. In the past couple of weeks, I've learned how to walk on a leash and I've came around a lot. I am doing a lot better with not being as afraid of new people, but it does still take me time to warm up to them. I am SUCH a good boy in my kennel. I am quiet and I keep my kennel spotless. I love having soft, comfy beds to lay on here and I haven't destroyed any of my beds, blankets or toys. I have been pretty good around the other dogs that I've met here at the pound. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable.
