Story
I found Scooby abandoned on the street and brought him home when the original owners were contacted and they said to put him down. I got him up to date on vaccines and got him neutered. He has his flee and tick medications and will come with his favorite toys and costumes. He needs a home that has a female owner and he requires a lot of outside exercise (hiking, playing, etc.) He does have a fear of men but can slowly be introduced. He has separation anxiety and needs someone that stays home mostly. He can't go do doggy daycare and can get anxious and aggressive with strangers if on leash or tied down but is friendly at parks. He needs someone experienced that can help with his fears. He is afraid of the vet and does try to warn them off which is why he hasn't had his last set of shots. I will provide the medicine he needs to help with those anxieties. He was scared of crates when he came home but is more comfortable with them but hasn't been put in one before just treat training

Story
DAISY and POPPY ARE SIBLINGS. All abandoned in the country. There were originally three and one was adopted on her own. We have had these precious girls many months now, with plenty of opportunities to watch their interactions and play style. While, in general, we do NOT recommend adopting siblings, these two have proven to be the exception to the rule. They LOVE each other and have never, ever had a raised lip, a side-eyed look, a growl or anything else. We would really love for them to be adopted together. HOWEVER, WE WILL CONSIDER ADOPTING THEM SEPARATEY. All the girls are very smart, but Poppy is also the LOVE BUG! She is either kissing you, wagging, or falling down for you to rub her tummy. If Poppy were in high school she would be a cheerleader and probably Queen of the Prom. Her personality is a wonderful match to Daisy's low key independence. For more information on adopting Poppy, please email Gail at can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

HOWEVER, WE WILL CONSIDER ADOPTING THEM SEPARATELY. All the girls are very smart, but Daisy is especially so. Daisy will sit and watch the hummingbirds and watch for the squirrels! We laughingly call Daisy the "good sister" because she is low key and wants to please you - obeying whatever you ask. If the sisters were in high school, Daisy would be on the debate team and in honors classes. For more information on adopting Daisy, please email Gail at can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

Story
Fin is an adorably handsome little boy who loves to show affection once he gets to know you. At around 1.5 years old, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a Black Mouth Cur weighing 47 lbs, though he still needs to gain a bit more weight. Fin truly believes he's a lap dog, and his sweet nature will melt your heart. Fin was found in very poor condition outside a neighborâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s homeâ&#194&#128&#194&#148skin and bones, terrified of the world. Since then, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s made incredible progress. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s been neutered, is up-to-date on his shots (as of November), and is now microchipped for added safety. Active and playful, Fin loves staying busy. His favorite hobbies include exploring his surroundings, going on walks, and playing with toys. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s also the perfect fitness buddyâ&#194&#128&#194&#148always up for an active day. Afterward, he settles down nicely and enjoys snuggling up on a comfy bed next to you. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s great with other dogs, playful, and loves to say hello. While we havenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t observed him around children or cats, we recommend supervision with small children to ensure respectful interactions. Fin is still building his self-confidence and will benefit from further training. However, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s eager to learn, and weâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re excited to discuss the tools and strategies that will help him thrive. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a cuddle bug who adores belly rubs and will quickly show you his tummy for attention. While Fin would do well with a yard to explore, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll be happy as long as he gets the love and daily exercise he needs. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s housebroken, leash-trained, and currently working on crate training. Fin knows how to sit, but heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s still learning other commands. The best part is that heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s a clean slate, ready to absorb new lessons with enthusiasm. The only reason Fin is being rehomed is due to my living situation with my roommates. When I found Fin, I made a commitment to help him find his forever home, and thatâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s why heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s being rehomedâ&#194&#128&#194&#148through no fault of his own. If you're ready for a lovable, cuddly best friend whoâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s eager to trust again, apply to adopt Fin today! Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s waiting for someone to give him the forever home he deserves. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Fin, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Hi! I am Cocoa! CFR rescued me from the unbearable Texas summer when me and my littermates were found living outside. Since then, I have been able to flourish in a safe foster home and am seeking my forever family. Now I am 15 months old and I love to run, get the zoomies when the weather gets cool My foster mom says I am super smart and have been quick to learn. I use a doggy door now but if that's not open, I know where to scratch on the backdoor to go out; I am quick to learn new routines. I have a sweet temperament and am eager to please - I am still an active puppy, but definitely understand correction. I am fully crate trained, sleeping there at night and even choosing to rest in my crate during the day but I love getting to snuggle in the morning on the big bed with my foster Mom and the big dogs. I have just discovered television shows about animals that I watch with rapt attention. I LOVE to play and run so I need a secure yard to run in. I would do best with older kids because younger kids make me nervous but recently at an event, I spent the afternoon walking around with two different children under the age of 10 for the entire event. Event. So I probably am good with kids as long as they're not yelling and screeching. I get along with other dogs including my two 80# foster sisters. I have not been cat tested, but the rescue can do this before a trial just in case. I am currently a solid 59 pounds and will likely stay medium-sized. Physically, I think I am all grown up. I am fully vetted and ready for a new adventure. I love to run and have long legs so I can run fast. I would love to be your running partner; I would love to go with you on your daily/weekly walks/runs. I patrol the yard for all intruders including those running the 16' back fence. So far, I haven't caught anything except baby rat snakes which I dispatch as quickly as possible. I had a rough start to life, so I am shy at first. Once I know I am safe, I come out of my shell and really like to show love and appreciation. Do I sound like the missing piece of your family? Apply for a trial to meet me today! ##1775632##

Story
Hi, I'm Nala! I might be shy when you come up to me but I promise I am excited to meet you! I just need to warm up to you at first. I love going on long walks and playing with all of my toys. I love food and treats--I will sit for you all day long as long as you keep giving me treats! I am crate trained, potty trained and I do really well on a leash. I would love a fenced-in yard to run around in, and some older kids to play with, and maybe even another playful and friendly dog! I can't wait to meet my forever family--please fill out an application to meet me. Questions? Email placement@thestreetdogproject.org.
