Story
✨Meet Juliett✨ Juliett is one true love awaiting her forever family... “O' Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?” Romeo is a stray of unknown breed, who left Juliet to fend for herself and her nine puppies. Juliet’s parents disowned her afterwards ‍♀️ This SWEET girl is always WANTING TO PLEASE, potty trained, house trained, crate trained (but prefers to be with you). She's a bit of a foodie and loves her meals, so she prefers to eat alone. But certain treats disagree with her tummy. She came into the shelter very skinny, but is now at her ideal weight of about 45 pounds. Juliett is so gentle and loves to be loved on. She loves to snuggle up at bedtime, but then is ready for her own space on her bed or couch to sleep. She's been an ABSOLUTE BEST mama to her 9 puppies! Now it is her turn to find that perfect family to spoil her!❤ Updated: January 2025

Story
Meet Bohdi ! 1yr old Black Mouth Cur mix. UTD on all vaccines. He was extremely skinny when rescued from the shelter but gaining great. He does need to be fed separately in his kennel, and cannot be free fed. He is the best and sweetest dog. House trained; kennel trained. Knows sit, lay down, stay, here, wait, and shake. Is strong on a leash but getting better. Absolutely needs a yard to run and play in. Fabulous with kids and all strangers. He loves to cuddle and would stay there all day if you let him. I would not recommend a home with cats or free-range animals. Would love other dogs to play with as well, he loves to play, and he's been good with all the dogs he's met.

Story
Scooby is a very loving dog. He doesn't care what you are doing, he just wants to be part of it. I have a cat and he is wonderful with her. He doesn't meet a stranger. You will need to watch him around some dogs. I keep him on a leash when we walk. He is fine around some dogs and will try and go after others. Not sure why but he is better now than when I first got him. I am needing to rehome him as soon as possible. My boss at work took him as a favor to a friend of his that was moving to an apartment and couldn't take him. Scooby didn't t get along with one of his dogs and I took him with the understanding that I could bring him to the office. Corporate has now decided that dogs are a liability for the company and are no longer allowed. It's s not fair to Scooby to be crated up for 12 plus hours a day. Please help.

Story
Meet Clara!Clara is an energetic and playful 2 month old Black Mouth Cur mix currently residing at our Aledo Ranch and Sanctuary with her siblings. These little ones absolutely love being outside, especially learning from the older German Shepherds here! Clara is already picking up good habits like going outside for potty breaks. She’s part of a very active litter that thrives in a home with lots of exercise, social exposure, and proper training. A family with working breed experience would be ideal for Clara, as she’s mouthy and would do best in a home without small children. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Bolt is a big ole country boy that needs space. He is a pandemic pup so really all he knew was family. He gets along well with our most other dogs as long as they aren`t threatening. He is weary of new people and children. And doesn`t like cats. He would probably do best in a home without kids and not a lot of guests coming and going. He has a lot of personality.Once he gets to know you, he is THE SWEETEST! Bolt is food driven, loves to play, loves to chase (squirrels, rodents, birds, lizards..)Will be a great hunting companion and would need some running around space. Loves belly rubs and outside time. He is crate trained and spends nights in his crate, which he likes.Takes time to get comfy with strangers otherwise, he`s pretty fearless. He is house trained, crate trained, has many commands down (sit, come, stay, leave it, no jump, no bite, paw, down. drop it, on guard) and is very trainable. He is big, playful and full of energy and will be an amazing guard and protector. He will come with crate, training collar and muzzle (if needed). Along with food/water bowls and a bag of food.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. If you are interested in adopting, please complete our Pre-application: https://form.jotform.us/asr628/ShortAdoptionInquiry

Story
Rocky is a friendly, happy, and snuggly dog who is always eager to meet new people. His positive energy is evident in everything he does, and he’s an absolute love bug who thrives on attention and affection. Here’s a breakdown of his current behavior and some important notes: Body Language: Rocky passes by kennels and play yards with confident and good body language. He is relaxed and comfortable around other dogs. Leash Behavior: Rocky is always excited to go for walks! He does tend to pull on the leash, but we’ve worked with him a bit and he’s made noticeable improvements. With continued training, he’ll become even better on walks. Training: Rocky is very smart and already knows how to “sit” on command. He’s eager to learn and always happy to engage during training sessions. Size: Rocky is a big guy! His head is about hip-height on me, and he has large, sturdy feet. He’s got the presence of a big, strong dog, but his sweet demeanor is his true charm. Snack Time: Rocky can be a bit jumpy when it comes to snacks, but his enthusiasm is just part of his lovable nature. Personality: This guy is handsome and snuggly—he absolutely loves attention, and all of us gave him some love, which he happily accepted and enjoyed. His kennel tech loves him too, and it’s clear that Rocky has a lot of love to give. Escape Artist: Rocky is quite the clever guy! He can scale a 6ft tall wooden plank fence, so he should never be left outside unsupervised unless he’s on a tether or in a covered kennel. This makes him a great candidate for agility sports! With his intelligence and athleticism, he’d thrive in that type of environment. Overall, Rocky is a sweet, affectionate, and energetic dog who just needs some guidance and supervision in the right home. He’s ready to bring joy and love to a family who can match his excitement and energy.
