COURTESY LISTINGThis dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for ZIVA. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Meet Ziva, the independent and charming senior lady who’s looking for a caring home! This 10 year-old Black Mouth Cur mix weighs around 65-70 lbs and is the perfect balance of calm and spunky. She loves her nap times but also enjoys short bursts of outdoor fun, trotting around the yard and exploring. She’s a connoisseur of stuffy toys, loves chewing on bones, and delights in a good yard adventure. Despite her age, she’s still got some pep to her step! Ziva is totally house trained and knows how to use doggie doors. She's excellent in her crate, sleeping or resting quietly. She knows the “sit” command and is very low-maintenance. While she’s not overly affectionate or in-your-face, she’s always happy to see you, greeting you with a wag of her short, stubby tail. She’s a two-time cancer survivor with some remaining growths, but she’s still full of life and joy. She's been around lots of people and does great with everyone, although she needs time to warm up to some dogs and likes chickens a little too much! Ziva is excellent in the car and is happy to go for chicken nuggets. She’s looking for a quiet home where she can enjoy short walks and plenty of relaxation time. If you’re seeking a calm, independent girl with gorgeous eyes and an adorable sleeping posture, Ziva is ready to bring joy and love to your home!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. July 15, 2024, 9:33 am

Story
Cute little Layla is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Layla came from animal control. She looks like a black mouth cur. She is around 4 months old, and we think she may be a medium-sized dog when grown. Black mouth Curs are a Texas Breed. They make excellent family dogs. They are smart and easily trainable, loyal and obedient. Layla is a sweet, happy, active, outgoing, and playful puppy. She loves snuggles and gives kisses. Layla is smart and already knows how to sit. She is crate-trained and has taught herself to use the potty pads. Layla is fairly well-behaved in the house, but she is a young puppy that needs obedience training. She loves toys and playing with other dogs. Layla must be in the house as a loved family member and she would like a fenced yard to run and play. Layla is a happy and healthy pup. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Brattleboro or White River Junction VT. Layla is currently located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this sweet puppy.
