Hi there, I'm Maude! I'm a sweet soul with a big heart, always ready to share my affection. I'm quite the social butterfly and love everyone I meet, including children of all ages. I'm also quite the smarty pants. I'm very food motivated and learn quickly. I've already mastered potty-training and kennel-training. Oh, and did I mention I'm brave too? When I came into care I needed surgery on my leg, but I didn't let that dampen my bright spirit. I'm fully recovered, full of energy, and ready to love and play! Story
She is 8. She was pre-arthritic 2 years ago which makes her super grumpy. On days she is hurting we give her hemp oil on her food which helps some but she still has her moments. She startles easily when asleep. She likes quiet, calm, and laid back people and is not fond of high energy situations, so teens would be okay but young children not so much. She doesn't get along with one of our other dogs so she should not be with other dogs. She just needs a good loving home to live out the rest of her life. We can't give her the attention she craves which is only dog home attention. She is usually quiet. She will let you know when she wants attention and when she needs to go outside. Speaking of which she can hold it forever! 12 hours. She is kennel trained but we don't use one with her and she can't have a bed in her kennel because she will shred it.
