Story
Bowzer is a very good boy. He is just super anxious because of our situation and that is what I am trying to fix. Our schedules/lives have changed drastically since we first brought him home and we are no longer in a position where we can give him what he needs. He has never bitten, good with kids but does have a tendency to jump up when excited so I would say older kids best. Not fixed, is house trained, kennel trained (would include his large dog kennel, big enough he can stand up and move around in, breaks down for transport/storage) up to date on shots/flea meds. He loves to explore/walk and prefers a REAL long leash to follow his nose. He needs someone who can walk him or take him on adventures on the regular. As long as he gets worked, he will just crap out by the fire at the end of the day.

Story
Treeing Walker Coonhound 8 years old Male 100 pounds Kids · 8+ Dogs · Yes Cats · No What My Friends Say About Me: I’m a big, talkative dog with a strong bark and lots of love to give. I get along with dogs of all sizes, though my bark can sometimes cause misunderstandings. I’m an adventurer at heart, but I also cherish my rest and relaxation. I’m gentle and affectionate, ready to shower you with tail wags and kisses. The Type of Home I’m Looking For: I need a calm, patient family who understands my big bark and respects my space. A home without cats is best due to my natural hunting instincts. I’d thrive with older kids (8+) who won’t be scared by my bark and can give me the gentle love I need. I’d enjoy a mix of light adventures and plenty of time to relax and recharge. My adoption fee is $200 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
Flynn is an eager, ride-or-die, champion. He loves people and gets along well with dogs. He has fostered in a home with large and small cats and dogs and tends get along with most everyone. Flynn is house-trained, comfortable in his crate for several hours, and easily integrated into any medium to large home with a yard / access to the outdoors. Flynn is a medium-energy dog who experiences bursts of activity but has a great off-switch in the house and can relax for hours. A home with a yard is necessary and a dog to run around with would be great. Flynn is good with children over 13 (he is big and can knock small children over). He has lived well with cats, large and small dogs. Flynn has received great training and would thrive in a home with a person who loves a powerhouse BEST dog. Ready to welcome Flynn into your life? Story
Snuggles in bed, a long leisurely walk to your local coffee shop, sipping a latte on the patio and then a stop at the dog park afterwards to play… if this sounds like a perfect Saturday morning to you, Heidi just might be your soulmate! With a light blonde brindle coat and a pair of adorable floppy ears, Heidi is suspected to be a Plott Hound, Pittie mix. We estimate her age to be around 1 year old, but she is a rescue so these are just our best guesses! Fall in love with Heidi here: https://youtu.be/RmrbYwysRmo?feature=shared Heidi is currently fostered in a loving home with her foster pawrents and their 6 year old playful Pyr. Heidi adores her doggy foster sister, and they enjoy romping around the back yard together. Heidi loves to go to dog parks and coffee shops with her people, and she even goes to doggy daycare once a week. When you first meet Heidi, she’ll take a moment to sniff and check you out, and then she’ll greet you with lots of kisses. She has a tail that never stops wagging around the ones she loves, and she loves just about everyone. Heidi adores humans, her foster mom describes her as snuggly, sweet and affectionate. With new dogs, Heidi behaves similarly. She’s a happy and outgoing pup with a fun and playful presence. She’s never met a dog she doesn’t like, and her time in doggy daycare has made that evident! Sweet Heidi shares treats and food well with other dogs, and coexists calmly with other dogs well. Heidi is also amazing with kids. Here at the rescue she met a six year old, and he was so impressed by how gentle Heidi was with him. We believe Heidi would make a great family dog for a home with kids aged six and up. Heidi is a very impressive girl, she’s so incredibly smart, easy on leash and good in the car. She’s confident and eager to please, and SO food motivated! She loves treats, and puzzle toys, and especially her Kong. Heidi would be a great candidate for off-leash training, agility training, or just learning cool party tricks. Heidi is perfectly dog-friendly, and could fit in well with just about any pack, or as a second dog, or as an only dog. In her foster home, she gets two to three walks a day, and would appreciate a similar schedule or a fenced backyard in her forever home. She is well behaved and so friendly, making her an easy fit for an apartment lifestyle. She could be a great family dog, or a perfect companion dog for anyone looking to be adored. We do not recommend Heidi for a home with kitties. We are willing to test Heidi with anything you need us to in order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
