Story
Our Willow is a stunning beauty who needs a patient rescue dog enthusiast to help build her confidence. She is an older puppy who came to us from a North Carolina shelter where she spent some time before transferring to our Connecticut rescue.  Willow is a shy girl and at just one year old, she is clearly a dud Hunting Dog! This timid and gentle soul bristles at the sound of gunshot, fireworks and thunderstorms, but thrives on gentle human touch and affection. While Willow seems shy at first, she opens up easily once the human love starts flowing. She is extremely affectionate, and would make an outstanding family dog. Willow loves people and could easily live happily with older kids.  Willow is a petite dog at just 35 pounds and appears to be an Bluetick Coonhound. She is active, but does not have an over-the-top energy level. She requires a couple of leisurely, "smell the roses" daily walks, but then is content to rest or take a nap. She would do well in a family setting, or with a single, or retired folks. Willow will be happy as long as she is loved.  Willow loves other dogs and has become a superstar in our Hound playgroup. She easily could join a multi-dog home with other friendly dogs, but we have not had her around cats.  As a Scent Hound, Willow’s instincts are a mixed bag of “nosey” attributes. Her ideal adopter would be an active single or couple, who can include WIllow on hikes, runs, or walks, camping, or any kind of outdoors activity that will challenge mind and body. Willow has good house manners, and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during her transition to a new home. She has been spayed, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings. If you are interested WIllow, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call or text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.

Story
If you do not believe in love at first sight, you certainly will after you see this cuteness overload consisting of coonhound mixes. Social media is going to be all a buzz with this foursome. They are the lucky ones that came into rescue when found as strays on the street. They have turned the page in their book of life and are ready to start the next chapter of their own love story. We know their families are sure to fall in love with them and they will love them right back. At 4 months old there is so much life left to live, and Rox is eager to experience all the comforts of a well loved and cared for canine companion. Growing up is a fact and she will grow bigger but how much is not certain. We can only guess that since she weighs around 15 pounds now, that she will be a medium, up to 60 pounds, sized when fully grown.Rox is a girl that can hang out with anybody. She enjoys meeting new friends. Her sweet nature has her making friends with other dogs and kids of all ages. She enjoys hanging out with the crowd. When playtime ensues, Rox will partake in all the fun to be had. She has an adventurous nature that makes life with her anything but dull. She has not had the opportunity to be introduced to a cat since coming into rescue so it is not known if she will welcome a feline companion at this time. All of her house, crate and leash training are in process. She is putting her best paw forward to make the skill set a reality for her. Her family will help her to transition and provide loving support to assist her. As with all puppies, Rox is full of curiosity and wonderment, and is ready to grow from adorable puppy to amazing dog with the right guidance and patience. She will need a home with someone who has the time, desire and energy to train and socialize her so that she can become the perfect lifelong companion. She is an amazing gal with an amazing ability to love. Rox is going to make her family unbelievably happy. There are so many pages to write in her life story. There will be boundless opportunities to create lasting memories. It all starts with taking home this beautiful girl. The adoption fee for Rox is $500.
