Story
Greetings! My name is Zorro, and I'm not your ordinary pup-I'm brimming with personality and known for being quite the chatterbox. I thrive on social interactions, whether it's making new human friends or cozying up with furry companions. Having another dog in the home would be a delightful bonus for me. These past 9 months without a forever family have been tough, as each day I yearn for a place to call my own. I'm on the lookout for a lively and outgoing household where we can engage in meaningful conversations and share plenty of laughs together. Imagine a home where I can express my playful nature and engage in activities that stimulate my curious mind. I envision long walks exploring new sights, playful games in the backyard, and quiet moments of cuddling and companionship. If you're seeking a companion who will bring joy, laughter, and endless conversation into your life, I'm here and eager to embark on this journey with you. Let's fill each other's lives with love and happiness-could you be the one to make my dreams come true?

Story
Meet Rori! She is 100% Bluetick Coonhound. We took her in as she was in a high kill shelter in rural Georgia. She had some super cute babies with her who have all been adopted. It's a miracle she lasted as long as she did in the shelter.Rori is definitely a hound dog and she will get her bay/howl going when she's excited. We always talk back to her with our own howls, LOL. She's pretty low energy; her day consists of breakfast, a lap around the yard, naps all day, dinner, and bed time.Rori does have what we like to call "special feet." We have seen the specialist and done every test that we can for Rori, and we found out it's just a congenital birth defect. Her front paws are missing the center pad which has caused her two outer toes to curl under and become the center pad. Don't let this fool you. Rori can still run super fast when she wants to! She prefers soft surfaces like grass and does walk with a limp...we think she's milking it for the attention! If you would like to meet Rori and give her the best home ever, please email info@BigHearts4PawsRescue.org for an application. Our adult dog adoption donation is $200. Rori is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, and current on flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. She is potty trained and knows the doggy door.

Story
Bluebird was rescued in 2020 when she was about 1 years old. She had been through some abuse and has been recovering over the last few years. She has come a long way! The best home for her would have lots of room for her to run and sniff as she is a hound dog. A family without children is best, but she will get along well with other dogs her size. She has shown food aggression and has gone through training and behavior adjustments to help resolve this. She makes a great guard dog but still has a goofy personality. Loves bananas.

Story
Hey there, I'm Ozzy! My story's got a mix of heartache and hope, but I'm all about bouncing back and living my best life. I was once on the dreaded euthanasia list in Palm Beach County, but my lucky break came when I landed at Big Dog Ranch Rescue in 2023. I had a loving family since I was a pup, but they faced tough times and had to make the hardest decision to let me go. Transitioning to shelter life was a bit of a challenge, but I've adjusted well. I'm house-trained, a cuddle enthusiast, and I've got my basic commands down making walks a breeze. I've got a soft spot for toys and still good for some zoomies, but my favorite pastime is snuggling up for some peaceful naps, especially in this Hot weather. I'm rockin' just one working eye and it's all good-I'm still full of spirit! I'd thrive best in an adult-only home where I can enjoy the calm and comfort I crave. I've got some awesome volunteers who take me on joyrides and even treat me to a cheeseburger from McDonald's every now and then (yep, I'm a big fan and will gladly give a handshake for it)! I am really good in the car and just lay there looking out the window and enjoy the ride. I'm ready to find a forever home where I'll get all the love and adoration I deserve. Ready to embrace my journey and make me your loyal sidekick? I'm ready if you are so let's go HOME!

Story
Helloooooo! I'm Roxie! My sister Sadie and I were surrendered to the Alabama Ranch and transferred to the Florida location to find a new home. If you like hounds, you'll love me! I am the very definition of a bloodhound: big, wrinkly, and a great singer. My sister and I are very sweet doggos who love pets and snacks! Even though I'm an older gal, I still love to eat. I also enjoy running around and occasionally taking a dip in the pool. While my sis and I get along swimmingly, I'm selective about other dogs and it may be for the best if we were your only pets. We are always great in our roo, and as long as we get out frequently we are quite clean and can share blankets without a fuss. This old dog would love to learn some new tricks if you've got the treats for it!

Story
Hey y'all, my name is Sadie! My sister Roxie and I were surrendered to the Alabama Ranch and transferred here to Florida to find a new home. I may be an old gal, but I can still move around real good. When I run, you can see my ears flap. I'm pretty sure if I flap them yard enough, one day I'll be able to fly! So far, the closest I've gotten is the occasional swim. Even with my age, I still have some energy in me, and I love to run! I also love to eat, and I'd do anything for a snack. I'm really really nice with all the people I meet, but when it comes to dog friends, I think I would prefer it to just be me and my sis. If you're looking for a dynamic duo in our golden years, just follow the sound of our beautiful bloodhound singing!
