Story
we call him Grampa, he is five years old. He is a border collie great Pyrenees mix. He is house trained loves going on walks very good on the leash, and is a big old cuddle bug. He is kind of a couch potato once he gets warmed up to you he will always ask for a head scratches. He does have territory issues. He is not very well suited with another male dog, big or small. He is much more suited to be on his own or with a female dog. He can coexist with other dogs but there can be some fighting, biting or territorial issues that will arise. He is also very good at being left at home uncaged and he does not destroy anything but he will sit on your couch if you let him, hence couch potato. He is kennel trained but does not prefer it

Story
Toby was fixed at approximately five years old. They estimate that he is between seven and eight years old. He does tend to have border collie personality. Doesn’t really do well with male dogs, but does wonderful with female dogs. He try’s to hunt our cats. Does good at dog parks and car rides. He does good camping. Toby is very lovable. He likes dog toys. Loving on his owner is a must for him. He loves to fallow you everywhere. He does not do well in a kennel or in a confined area. He will mark your space because he is very territorial of his owner. He will guard your home and watch you closely to keep you safe. He gets very scared and defensive when you try to correct him. He definitely needs someone to be able to stay patient with him.

Story
Gunther is a sweet, 9ish year old boy that's young at heart and weighs about 40 lbs.  He can be a bit bossy and possessive when it comes to interacting with other dogs, but he's been really good with the Chihuahua that he's been fostered with, and he loves to run and play with a female friend of his that's about his size.  He also does very well being the only dog, and would love to have a human or two that he doesn't have to share with anyone else and a big yard to run around in.  Gunther is sensitive and devoted.   Gunther's adoption fee is $275, with a $21 PACC license transfer fee. he is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Oro Valley, Catalina and Sahuarita only. Story
Coca Cola has had a ton of different advertising slogans over the years, and we think quite a few of them apply to our sweet pup of the same name! For example…“When Coca Cola is part of your life, you can’t beat the feeling” (1987)“Have a Coca Cola and a Smile” (1979)“Always Coca Cola” (1993)“A sign of good taste” (1957)You get the picture! Coca Cola originally came to the shelter after being abandoned, so he really deserves to find a happily ever after. He was adopted and spent nine months in a home but has unfortunately come back to the shelter because his person’s living situation has changed. His person loved him and had great things to say about him:`Coca Cola is the sweetest pup you’ll ever know. He loves to go on walks as well as be right by your side. He’s a major lover and he enjoys meeting new friends! Whether it’s a furry friend or even just the maintenance man, this pup gets excited for anyone. He loves car rides as well as smelling everything. Cokes is the best family dog I could’ve asked for. He’ll snuggle up next to you or in between your legs, he enjoys having a good headrest. Loves his belly rubs and butt rubs, the neck I will say is his favorite area! He’s very food motivated and can learn very quickly and easily with time and patience:) Doesn’t bark at all, just the perfect dog to have!`- Good with young kids- Housebroken- Enjoys hiking- Affectionate, playful and loves toys- Will benefit from continued crate training Here’s what Coca Cola’s volunteer friends have said about him:“Great walk with Coca Cola today. He was excited to go on his walk, wagging his tail happily and giving me a hug in his kennel. He walks very nicely, loves to sniff, and enjoys gentle affection. At the start of our walk, I crouched down to pick something up and felt a gentle brush of movement on my shoulder. When I turned my head, I came nose-to-nose with Mr. Coca Cola, who booped me gently as he sniffed my chin. Later on our walk, I sat down and he stood by my side for pets on his head, shoulders, back, and hips. A sweet guy who seems like he would open up quickly in the right home with someone who lets him set the pace.”“I consistently walk Coca Cola and am pleased to see him start to become a more confident dog. He loves to follow scent trails and would probably benefit from some `find me` games. He loves treats! Coca Cola would likely do best in a quiet home wher

Story
Derek is an exuberant, playful cuddlebug, and completely housebroken/potty-trained. Derek loves his person and will be by your side, literally, throughout the day. He also loves meeting new people and has endeared himself to our neighbors and other people on walks. He isn`t reactive to other dogs walking by from inside (I have no pets of my own, currently), but outside may stop and start to focus if alerted to another dog nearby in our complex. Of note, most of the other dogs in my complex are the `instigators`/ reactive ones, so we keep our distance. We have been to Catalina State Park and Riverfront Park, and he hasn`t had an issue with seeing other dogs up there. He is also not super vocal, but can sometimes emit a whine on our short walks if a neighbor dog is near. He proved himself to be a great watchdog very late one night when someone was walking by our open bedroom window. Derek had some great barks! That was an isolated incident but a pleasant surprise. Derek is extremely affectionate and generous with his kisses, but responds immediately with a gentle `sit` to create personal space. He is always excited to see me come home and jumps for joy. We have been working on creating that personal space also with the `sits`. This may not be universal, since a foster sitter told me he didn`t do that jumping/`hugging` with her. Derek got `good boy` notes from two foster sitters and a groomer recommended by PACC. As a border collie mix, I thnk Derek would do best in a larger home with a yard. My apartment isn`t large, so I take him for multiple walks daily. He is a wonderful, adorable boy and would really thrive in a bigger environment. He seems to love all people but would need to meet any dog to ensure a good fit.
