Story
Bear is super sweet and full of energy.  His owner had to go into a nursing home and could not keep him.  He came from a farm but was also kept in a large pen at times.  He was never inside until we got him.  He is adapting very well though, using the doggie door and only has had a few accidents. Bear is very smart and we only have to show him something once before he catches on. He had never been on a leash or in a harness before. The first attempt was funny to watch, but after that, he was a professional. Bear is good with other dogs, kids, and cats too.  He will need some work on house training but seems to be catching on fast.  He is very playful and friendly and loves attention.  He also likes to play in water and would be a great adventure buddy! If you would like more information, please contact the shelter at 870-269-5200 or go to our website at schspets.org and complete an adoption application and someone will contact you for a meet and greet.March 17, 2025, 2:36 pm

Story
Bailey is a very petite Border Collie mix - 26 pounds of cute! She was surrendered to us because her owner went into a nursing home.  She had only been outside on a farm before we got her, so she's more on the timid side, but warms up quickly to those who bend down to her level and talk sweet to her, moving slowly. Bailey loves other dogs, cats, and kids. She is partially house trained and is very smart and eager to please, so training should be a breeze. If you would like more information, please contact our shelter at 870-269-5200 or go to our website at schspets.org and complete an adoption application and someone will contact you for a meet and greet.March 22, 2025, 2:12 pm
