Meet Rita! I brought Rita home at 12 weeks old from a family in Carson City. We have been together almost a year; she turned 1 in Jan. Rita is a very sweet, loveable girl; she loves to cuddle and loves attention! She is very smart, is housebroken and knows her basic commands. She will however test you with recall when she is off-leash, which we continue to work on. Rita does not sleep in a crate at night, but I will use one for her if I am gone for several hours during the day. She is still learning about other humans and it may take her a bit to warm up to a new human and routine, but I have no doubt she'll adapt. What I would love to find for Rita is someone who has experience working with cattle dogs and knows what they're all about. She needs a lot of exercise, love and time and a fenced yard, if possible. She would do best 1 on 1 and would love to be your shotgun, go everywhere with you, running/hiking partner!
