Daisy Mae is a 7-year-old, 75 lb, Border Collie/Heeler mix looking for her forever family. She is UTD, spayed, microchipped and housebroken. Daisy Mae is medium energy and would love a family to relax with after going on walks and chasing balls. She is good with dogs her size or larger but not good with small dogs and not good with cats, and prefers no children. Daisy can be prone to UTI's so she takes a cranberry supplement to help prevent them. She has been known to guard items of high value and would benefit from an active and experienced family that has previous experience with resource guarding behaviors. Training will be provided at no cost to her new family to help ensure her success. Daisy Mae has to find her new forever home because she currently lives with a toddler and needs to be in a home without children under the age of 16 yrs old due to resource guarding behaviors. Daisy's ideal home would be an adult only home that is open to participating in training to make some minor resource guarding issues easier to manage. She is a well-trained, medium energy companion that would make an amazing pet. Please note, Daisy Mae is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Marshmallow is a very sweet and affectionate dog. We've had him since he was a puppy. Life has changed over the last few years with children and we unfortunately just lost a rental home to a house fire and we simply don't have the appropriate time for him. Life has been chaotic for awhile and we've really battled with this decision but it's to the point it feels unfair and he deserves to have more attention and love than we have right now. He's an awesome people person dog, he's good with other dogs as well, and we have children and he's used to them. Never aggressive, if he's bothered he'll growl. He's a really sweet boy and the only negative I could say is he has stinky poop so we always take him out after eating lol. He's 9 years old and around 45 lbs. Someone is going to be really lucky to have such a sweet boy, loves to hang and be around you!

Update on the found dog: He is the sweetest boy. His owners had put him up for adoption, and when he escaped, the new family didn’t want him back. He is 6.5 years old, up to date on shots and heart worm prevention, loves snuggles, get’s along with other dogs, but dislikes being left alone. I am looking for someone who works from home/hybrid/can check on him during the day or someone who is retired who will love him unconditionally. He does open doors! Please be sure to always leave front door locked. We are currently working with him on his separation anxiety. He is currently on trazadone for this. He has allergies and will need apoquel. There would be a $100 rehoming fee which is less than a third of what I’ve spent on his vet care. I truly wish I had the time for another dog right now, but he needs more care than what I can give him.
