Say hi to Lucas! This very handsome 6 year old, dude is looking for a home because his owner is no longer able to keep him. His owner is devastated over it so has asked us to help find a wonderful new mom and/or dad for him. Lucas currently weighs about 45 pounds, because he's not currently able to get the exercise he needs, so he plans to get back down to his ideal weight of 37 pounds soon. :) Lucas is a sweet boy. He loves going for walks and chasing lizards. He's a happy guy, who would love a home with a yard to play ball in. And when he's done playing, would love a comfy couch to hang out on and cuddle with his owner. Mel was adopted at 6 weeks in Athens GA from a farm. She is very friendly and energetic, loves kids, and cats but is a bit timid around other female dogs her size or bigger. She is a very sweet dog and she craves attention, belly rubs, and butt scratches. She will be 2 years old this month.

Darla was witnessed being dropped off on the side of the road. Everything happened so fast and she followed the vehicle that left her until her foster was able to pull over and call out to her. She turned and came right to her. She has completed her stray hold with the county and was released after she’s gone unclaimed. She has been vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed and is Heartworm negative (yay!). She has been given the name “Darla” by her foster mom because she’s a sweet darling of a girl. Darla is an approx. 1 year old border collie. Her personality is incredibly sweet, very submissive & craves affection. With that, she does very well when she’s alone and will lay down and sleep until her person returns. Haven’t heard a sound from her yet, does not cry or bark in a kennel. She’s non-reactive/submissive to other dogs. Has not been cat tested. Loves every person she meets and her foster feels strongly that she would be great with children of all ages. She is also an incredibly fast learner and is eager to please. Her quirks— She doesn’t know how to walk on a leash attached to a collar or a slip lead. She’s not a puller, she literally *does not walk* on a leash that’s around her neck— she’ll just lay down. She WILL walk great with a harness, though reasonably nervous/fearful with traffic. A home with a secure fenced yard will be required for her. She has displayed behavior of being physically mishandled & she will need someone who will take their time with her, go at her pace and really prioritize building her confidence in the most positive way possible. Adoption applications will be reviewed but please note that she is currently recovering from her spay surgery and will not be able to be shown to potential adopters until she is fully healed (roughly 10 days from 1/18/25). Being fostered in Broward County, FL.

Tucker is an energetic and playful boy who will thrive with an active mom (or moms). Tucker does not like men and requires a female household. He also does not like boots. He is okay with some dogs, but is possessive over food and toys and will need patience when adapting to another dog in the household. He is non reactive on walks, it is only in the home where he is learning how to be with other pups. He is a super smart boy who has been through training.
