Story
Meet Carson Dukes. His eyes (one blue, one brown) are unique and strikingly gorgeous, one myth even says that dogs with two different color eyes can view heaven and earth at the same time. Carson is an adult Border Collie mix who has been with us since he was just a pup. Like some of our others he can be a bit shy and timid around new people so he would benefit from an adopter who is willing to spend some time with him at our kennel. Once he figures out who will be his friend he is very loving. Oh, and he is a bit of an escape artist, six feet or chain link does not hold a challenge for him. He never leaves us; he just doesn’t like to be fenced. Carson would be a great indoor companion with supervised outdoor exercise.  Carson recently spent some time in a foster home. He adjusted well to being a house dog, is crate trained, and almost housebroken. He got along with the other dogs, really enjoyed stretching his long legs running and playing in the yard, and was happily contained with the 8ft privacy fence. His foster family describes him as, "lovable, sweet, playful, and quirky in the most endearing way."  Carson's adoption fee includes neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and up to date heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Story
Hi everybody, this is Hazel—because she has the prettiest, most expressive Hazel eyes.  She is a 1 1/2 year girl who is both highly alert and intelligent. She gets along well with other dogs but is wary of new people choosing to study them closely before. Her foster mom says that letting people prove that they are trustworthy is a good policy. Hazel is a high-energy dog who is also quite affectionate when given the time and opportunity to bond with deserving people. Toys and playtime are more important to her than treats, so she needs someone who has time to throw a ball for her. She is SO much fun! Hazel is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and on prevention.  ##1402505##

Story
Frank is a super sweet but shy guy. It might take him a couple of days to warm up but then he will be a happy playful pup, playing with toys. He will run and track with his nose. He doesn't display any aggressive behavior. He is crate trained and eats his meals in his crate. He is a foodie too, loves to eat! He willl make a great pet, he is friendly with other dogs but just as content to to be alone. He has not been around cats, so we aren't sure if he is cat friendly or not. He will probably grow to a medium size.

Story
Terra, once known as Minnie was the best friend I needed 5 years ago. Every day since I’ve had her, she’s always given me snuggles and healed my heart in a way that’s broken when you loose another pet. I found Terra at the Atlanta Humane Society back in 2019 after I lost another family pet. I went through shelter after shelter finding the right dog, and then I came across Terra. I knew right away she was mine. Fast forward 4 years, she’s made my family fall in love with her, she’s the biggest baby and is all love. May 2023, we added a baby of our own to the family, she’s was playful, she was silly and she was loving to the baby. Our daughter is now almost 2.5 years old, and Terra has turned food obsessed. We had an incident Christmas Eve where Terra scratched our daughter’s face for some of the baby’s snacks. This was completely out of pocket for Terra but this was the thing that puts her out of our home. Terra is my best friend, and she deserves the world.

Story
Meet Butterscotch, the sweetest snuggle bug with an amazing temperament! This affectionate girl is all about family, happily sharing millions of kisses and gentle cuddles. She's wonderful with kids and enjoys snuggling up at night, often sharing a cozy spot in bed. Butterscotch is also a high-energy adventurer who loves digging, tracking scents, and hunting for chipmunks, so a home with a yard would be ideal for her. Her leash skills are improving with training, but she feels most at ease on familiar, routine walks where she can focus and enjoy herself without getting anxious. Butterscotch would thrive with lots of chew toys and mental stimulation to keep her busy and happy. She's potty-trained, good in the car (though she's a bit of a free spirit!), and does best with a secure harness. She has shown a mixed response to other dogs and can be a little shy around strangers, so she'd appreciate calm introductions and a patient family. Butterscotch does best when crated if left alone, as she has some separation anxiety. With a yard, a bit of structure, and a lot of love, Butterscotch will make the most amazing family dog. If you're ready for a sweet, affectionate, and fun-loving addition, Butterscotch can't wait to meet you! Put in an application to meet her today!

Story
Leo is looking for a new home where he can get all of the attention, he craves. Leo is a 4.5-year-old, 52 pound Aussiedoodle (Australian shepherd/Poodle mix).  He is very sweet, playful and friendly.  He absolutely loves attention and wants to be part of everything going on! He loves to be the center of attention, whether it be lying beside you being petted, playing with toys inside, playing ball in the back yard or going on a walk or run.  If his family members pet another dog in the home, he rushes right over to get his attention too. He is not pushy or grouchy about it, but he can annoy another dog simply by being himself. He is also very high energy and wears out his housemates very easily with his high energy. He should not be in the home with a senior dog. And any dog housemate he has to be young and high energy and willing to share cuddle time. He would also be very, very happy as an only dog and the focus of his family. Even if he doesn’t have another dog in his home, he loves to play with the dogs. Therefore, he would love to have the opportunity to play with other dogs (doggie daycare, or friends/family with dogs).  He does best when he gets some exercise which can be a walk or playing fetch in the backyard.  He walks well on a leash but does need an experienced owner because he will want to go say hi to or play with everyone he meets.   Also, because he loves to go say hi to everyone, he will need a fenced in backyard.  He is housebroken, crate trained, and rides very well in a car or golf cart. He has never been around cats. Being a poodle mix, he will need regular grooming with a professional groomer and daily and weekly brushing and hair care to maintain his coat. We believe he will be perfect for an active person or family who includes him in many of their activities such as walking, running, hiking, etc. If you are interested in adopting Leo, please fill out an application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-61811 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete.
