Story
Miss P is a beautiful Border Collie/ Lab mix. She is a middle aged girl, and is ready for her forever family! She is very dog friendly, and has a rough and tumble play style. She has never met a dog that she doesn&#39t like! Miss P is very food motivated and takes treats gently. She&#39s crate trained, house trained, and knows her basic commands. Miss P enjoys hunting for critters in the yard and chewing on her Nyla bones! Miss P would love a forever home with another dog and a fenced yard where she can spend time outside. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. If you&#39re interested in adopting this sweet girl, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. Story
Hi, I'm Kelso! I know what you're thinking, "oh my gosh, he’s so cute!" You'd be correct, I am just adorable. I’m the perfect size, 44 pounds-not too big, not too small. I love to be with my people and absolutely love going for a walk. I am about 3 years old, so I am the perfect age, out of the puppy energy and chewing.  I sleep quietly in my pen at night too!   I currently live with a chihuahua and two cats and do well with both. I am interested in the cats and when they run they catch my interest, but my foster parents say I should ignore them and I really want to please so I do. My foster parents said I seem to be potty trained too, so far I have been 100% potty outside.   Think of the adventures we could have and potential free food with this darling face. I can be your taste tester, lap warmer, or even an Instagram influencer if that's your thing. So, let's just cut to the chase and have your people call my people, and we can set up something. An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          January 15, 2025, 9:06 am

Story
Morgan is a 1 year old, 30 lb mixed breed cutie. She came to us from animal control on the day she was supposed to be euthanized. She is a shy girl but oh so sweet. Morgan is very food motivated and follows her foster mom around the house. Food has really helped her bond and trust. She does well with both cats and dogs, and she really looks to other dogs for guidance. She has been with dogs, small to large and does well with all of them. She also loves to play with other dogs. She is truly a great sized, sweet girl. Due to Morgan's past, the trainer we worked with believes she would do best in a quiet home with a few other dogs and no children. She does best in a structured environment because it makes her feel most secure. To adopt this sweet girl, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $150, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, and heartworm testing.

Story
LEARNING TO TRUST:  Approx. 10 - 11 months old / Approx. 38 lbs. & growing Hi, I’m Hayden!  I’m part of a group of Border Collies that appear to have been dumped, so some nice people and animal control worked together to get us safely into rescues once our quarantine time was up. I don’t recall my past, but it may not have been the best given my circumstances so, I’m looking for a quieter type of home with a patient and loving family. I’m in a wonderful foster home now, settling in nicely. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I enjoyed my playdates with them!  I love the dogs in my foster home and look to them for guidance and comfort. Mostly Mutts does feel that I should have another friendly dog in my new home, to pal around with and help me adjust, so, let’s meet!  / I met a cat in my foster home, and I was timid, yet interested and respectful of them. / I prefer calmer kids 10+ who move at a slower pace and will give me a little time to get to know them. True to my herding breed, I may wrap my paws around a child’s leg, so if you have calm kids 10+ at home, let’s meet and see if we’re a good match! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers agree ‘it is impossible to resist my cuteness’. Thanks to the patience and socialization I’m receiving from the dedicated volunteers and my foster, I’ve come a long way in a short time.  Initially scared and shut down, I’m now happy to receive love and my friendly nature is emerging.  I enjoyed my time in the play yard with my sibling before she was adopted, and often checked back in with the volunteers for some love, kisses and attention. Though still timid with new things, I think that a nice routine will help me to be more comfortable.  / My energy level is 5-7.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program and look forward to learning a lot with my trainer!  Check back soon to see what I've learned. The main skill I am working on right now is building my trust of people and building my confidence.  With my naturally intelligent Border Collie breed, I bet you can teach me some great commands when I settle into my new home. The leash is very new to me and I’m not yet comfortable with it, so please make sure I’m very secure on a leash so I don’t get scared and run off as I don’t want to get lost or hurt. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. It’s a safe space for me in my foster home with the crate door open.  Having some kennels around my new home for me to retreat to and relax in would be nice. I whined a bit when the door first closed for bedtime, but I settled down quickly and now sleep in there soundly through the night.  / I had some accidents on the shelter schedule but am doing really well in my foster home.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I’m beginning to show my love for playing with soft toys, tennis balls, and bones.  There are likely many games of fetch in our future together!  I like going out into a secure yard more than walking on a leash, so I’d love a fenced yard in my new home that we can play in together.  As we get to know each other, I’m sure we will discover lots of things we like doing together. / I don’t think I’d be comfortable in a home with a lot of folks coming and going, as a nice quieter type of home seems much better for me.  My foster can tell that a lot of things and sounds are new to me but I’ve gotten used to my new environment quickly.  I did get carsick in the car with my foster, but I hope this will improve as I get used to riding in the car.  I need a family that will slowly and patiently introduce me to new things and provide me with lots of positive reinforcement.  I’m also sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.                • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a wonderful home with a patient and loving family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  January 2, 2025, 8:58 am

Story
Now would you look at this sweet pea? He is just too cute and sweet and his name is Benji. He came to the shelter on 1/21 because his former family decided they did not want to be responsible pet parents and take care of this angel. He thought he had a forever home but his owners let him down. Other information they provided for us about Benji is that he is great with dogs and he is housebroken. He is a beautiful and sweet boy that needs his life turned around very soon. He is very intelligent as he knows to basic commands such as sit when asked and lay down. He may know more and he would love to show you if you would give him a chance. And what he doesn't know you can take the time to teach him. He would be a wonderful student if you would take the time and effort to teach him everything he doesn't know already. Benji is feeling a bit confused as to why he is here but once he is outside, he opens up very quickly. He is described as cute, sweet, energetic, playful. He does love a good game of fetch and chase. He walks well on a leash too. He just needs people who love him no matter where he came from, that will give him the patience, love, respect and understanding that he deserves. This may have been the only home he has ever known. He stays quiet in his run while he is waiting for his new home. He would like to have that second chance to have a family once again and not stay in a shelter for too long. Can you help him find his way to his forever home? He would like that so much. Nice bed, lots of toys to play with, good meals and lots of love and attention from you. If you can help his make his dream come true, then he is your boy! Benji is current on vaccines, neutered and micro chipped already. He is negative for heart worms which is super news for him. He is in Run 51 and his ID is 7669. Benji is approx. 6 years old and weighs a mere 47lbs. He is still a baby and he really doesn't deserve to live out his life in a loud, overcrowded shelter. Please give this sweet boy a solid chance. He needs you now more than ever. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
