Story
Meet Jane, the 8 month old border collie mix who’s ready to fill your life with love, energy, and endless adventures! This sweet girl was surrendered through no fault of her own, and despite her tough start, she’s bounced back with a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to be dimmed. Jane is as friendly as they come, always wagging her tail and eager to meet new friends. Her skin may still be healing from a bit of neglect, but she’s not letting that slow her down. She’s got her sights set on a future filled with belly rubs, snuggles, and lots of playtime! If you're searching for a loving, loyal companion who’s always up for fun, Jane is your girl! She’s a cuddlebug who adores people, loves a good romp around the yard, and would thrive in an active home where she can run, play, and spread joy. Jane is ready to leave her past behind and find the forever family she truly deserves. Come meet her today and let her show you just how special she really is! By adopting me today you will save the life of two pets -- you'll save me and that will make room for the Shelter to rescue and save another pet.

UPDATE!! Meet Thomas! This sweet boy was found by a Good Samaritan and turned over to us with his brother Tommy!! They appear to be Border Collie mixes — maybe!? Thomas is around 4-5 months old and 15 lbs — Timid but has really opened up with his foster family. He is great with other dogs and with a little patience while he settles in will make a wonderful companion. He will be ready this week after his second round of vaccines and he’s altered! Get your apps in now!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you! Story
lillie is approximately a 6 year old border collie rescued from a kill shelter. she has depression, separation anxiety, past abuse, incontinence, and she is blind. i adopter her since she was going to be euthanized. i have experience with complicated animals/disabled ones. she is alot of work and maintenance and some days are better than others. she wears diapers but takes medication to help with her depression and incontinence. she has not been potty trained but is getting better. i am taking a new job on and can’t keep her no longer, i love her to death and she is sweet as can be but sometimes gets moody if you mess with her butt or put on diapers. she loves to speak if you play bark at her or talk to her in a baby voice and get her hyper, i have videos of her talking and howling back at me.

Story
We rescued this sweet boy from the highway in Kiln, MS. He was dumped and was sitting howling for his owner. We finally got him and he is the sweetest boy and gets along so well with our little Yorkie, Chihuahua and Cheweenie. We just cant afford 4 dogs with vet bills, food, etc. McNabb Border Collies are fiercely loyal and make great family dogs. He loves to cuddle and wants to be around the family. He's an inside dog but loves to run outside in our fenced yard. This is a requirement for adoption, you MUST have a fenced yard and he be kept mostly inside. The vet put him at around 2 to 3 years old. Please contact only if seriously interested. We require home check and meet and greet to see if a good match.

These pups are in Gautier, Mississippi too!
