Story
. . .          who is ready for an active home for a lifetime of adventuring. She traveled from LA to MA and continues to learn how to dog. She LOVES kids, other dogs, and will be ok with a dog-savvy cat. She makes friends wherever she goes and is developing her very own fan club. She will LOVE a fenced yard and an active home as she is the PERFECT adventure partner or sidekick. She is a working dog lover's dream.  Rescue story––She came in a stray to a high volume kill shelter and she is one lucky pup! We tagged her after seeing her sweet disposition and spent some time in a Louisiana foster home readying to travel north. Her southern foster mom says––"June Bug is working on the basics like sit and down. She is an older puppy and because she is learning manners, is best with older kids and will likely LOVE a resident dog that likes to play too." JUNE BUG IS PART OF OUR NEW "SHELTER DOG SUCCESS PROGRAM"! Her adoption comes with training! 50% of the adoption fee is transferred to a  dedicated trainer who zooms with you 1st (to prep you for her pick-up), followed by two additional zooms, as needed, with text support in-between!  Each zoom is an hour long and at the end of your program, your trainer will make a recommendation on best next steps for your training plan. It's important to us that our adult dogs have this second chance and this new program sets them and your household up for success too!  Preference is given to adopters willing to pre-adopt (commit to) a puppy or dog before arrival. Pups not adopted are available to meet in their MA foster homes after your application is approved. Should this pup receive an adoption commitment prior to your application being processed, we will share with you the other arriving pups that may be a match for you, some of which are not yet posted online. THIS PUP IS STILL AVAILABLE IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS LISTING––we pull listings down after receiving 2 - 3 viable applications to minimize adopter disappointment. Please do not email, simply submit an application link here www.rescueinc.dog/adopt and we do respond to every application within 48 hours.  Read through our adoption process and other adoption FAQs here www.rescueinc.dog/FAQs All of our pups come with the following:  Spayed or Neutered Age appropriate vaccinations + dewormed + 4DX test (if older than 6 months) Dosed with flea/tick + heartworm preventatives New martingale collar with 6' lead + temp ID tag 30 days free insurance to be activated within 24 hours of your wellness visit with your veterinarian Microchip with free registration Sample of food your pup has been eating  Ages listed can be approximate and breed mixes are a best guess based on physical characteristics.   Approved Massachusetts Rescue #0048 // Registered 501c3 EIN #84-3954548  ##1849431##

Story
Friendly Finn is a lucky dog.  You know one of those who was in a really bad shelter that was run by lazy people who didn’t care if any of the dogs got out alive.  He is a handsome and very friendly Border Collie/Pointer mix that is truly a good looking dog who is about 3 years old, fully vetted, 35 pounds and was at the shelter for 2 years.  TRUTH!   How awful that this beautiful soul was there in that dirty place and in the tiny kennel run with another dog. He wasn’t fed much and he is lucky to have survived the torture of that specific shelter.   Friendly is a good word for Finn since he is good with other dogs and kids unknown.  He is surprisingly very good on a leash, but his nerves can get the best of him when riding in a car.  He might need a little medication till he gets used to riding.  Finn needs a big yard or maybe daily trips to a dog park.  We want him to live a life that is not limited as he has experienced these past 2+ years in the shelter.  If you are interested in Fostering or Adopting Finn please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Story
This beautiful young 4-month-old pup is called Roxy and she will rock your world with all the wonderful dog manners and beautiful personality that you could want in a dog. We think she is a smooth coat Border collie mix and is beautifully created with the most outstanding ears that captures all the attention when you look her way.  At approximately 4 months of age, she weighs 20 lb and is a delightful foster guest at the current home that is caring for her. She loves the young children there in the home and they love her. She's great with the cat, she's great with the dog, and honestly there is not a strang person that Roxy ever shies away from.  She is just about completely housebroken in literally 5 days. She's one of those rare, young dogs that makes adopting a puppy a breeze. She is eternally happy all the time and eager to go and do whatever you want to do.  We think she is going to reach an ultimate adult weight of about 40 to 45 lb. She's lovely in every way and will make a great first time dog to adopt or a second dog in the home. To say that she's a breeze to train is an understatement. Act quickly because this Roxy girl will be discovered by many.
