Story
We adopted Jessy from a Petco Adoption event when she was 4 months old. She is currently 6 years old. We think that Jessy would flourish in a quiet home that does not have a lot of people going in and out. She sometimes gets nervous and is afraid of strangers which is stressful for both her and the family because she barks when she is nervous. We would describe Jessy as fun (as long as she is around her family), and sweet. She loves to get brushed, but does not like going for walks as she becomes afraid. She is gentle with children and is not a threat. She is also house-trained.

Story
Oh Mickey your so fine!!! Mickey is an absolute dream boat of a dog! He is fairly low key for being about 16 months old, and he sat patiently at my side while we visited stores and made new friends! He is not a big jumper and doesn’t pull much on leash unless he is super excited, and even then he responds well to positive correction and is back at your side. Mickey loves children, and he especially loved meeting the shop dogs at our favorite local shopping store. He thoroughly enjoyed his pup cup, and he explored every inch of Hollywood Feed, picked out a toy (which was surprising, he wasn’t too sure about toys last week) and wouldn’t leave the store until he ate his cheddar and bacon ice cream 🍦 Mickey does have a couple of minor things that he will need some help with. Mickey did not enjoy his bath. He was truly terrified when the water touched him, so we said “Okay, this is not for us today,” and that is okay. His family will need to work with him to help him be comfortable being bathed. He LOVES being brushed out and cooperates for a nail trim though! He needs help getting in the car, and nervous drools during the trip, but he stays in the back seat and is an excellent car rider! With help and encouragement, he’ll be jumping up in your backseat in your no time! Even after just a few times of being loaded up in the truck this morning, he was less apprehensive about getting in ❤️ Mickey is just a sweet boy who loves belly rubs and making new friends, 2-4 legged alike, who just needs a family to give him a chance. There is no love like Mickey’s, I can promise you that. He/she is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Please fill out an application at www.northboundrescue.com

Meet Bethesda, a 3.5 month old border collie mix. She came to us scared and unsure but within just a few days her personality has begun to shine. She is such a happy girl! Bethesda loves to go for walks (she would make a great running partner), loves playing with her foster sister and loves to snuggle on any available lap.  She sleeps quietly in her crate all night and is doing great with potty training. She’s such a smart cookie.  Bethesda is still building confidence and does great with other dogs when properly introduced. This girl is an absolute gem!August 19, 2024, 11:18 pm
