Story
Miss Fraya has adjusted incredibly well since her arrival. It took her only one evening to start warming up to her new surroundings and foster family. She has shown herself to be very gentle and loving, quickly forming bonds with everyone. Fraya enjoys playing with her dog toys and has a calm and affectionate demeanor. She loves taking walks and is very well-behaved during them, not barking at other dogs we pass or pulling too hard on the leash. She also enjoys running in the fenced yard or simply laying down on the patio to take a rest. Since she has been with us (foster home), she has not had any accidents in the house. We normally wake up once in the night to let her out just in case. Yesterday, we had a mobile groomer come to our house, and they advised that she did great and was very patient throughout the entire process, even getting her nails trimmed. We do not feed her any table food, only the dry food we were given, but we do offer her dog treats after she has been outside. Fraya has also been very gentle with visitors, allowing them to pet her without jumping up or barking. She enjoys lying on her large dog bed but also loves to lay by your feet while you are working or watching TV. Her loving nature makes her a joy to have around.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Axton! This sweet boy was one of the brightest kids in The DASH Prison Training Program where he brushed up on his house manners before he went to his current foster home. His foster mom said he's such a cuddle bug! In the program, he did well learning to walk on a leash and did not complain about being in his crate but would much rather be out snuggling with his people. He worked on "sit, down, stay, wait, & leave it." (Of course, continued work on these commands will keep him perfect)!  His handler said he is very intelligent, attentive, affectionate, and has become comfortable enough to snore in his sleep. Axton is a social boy, who seems to love all people, as well as other dogs! Axton also likes his toys and playing in water. He is energetic at play time but also loves when it's time to chill out. Axton did so well and consistent with practicing his basic commands, he moved on to tricks - He was learning to speak! He is ready for his new family. He's got his tuxedo on ready for his big day when he gets adopted. Let's not disappoint this good boy.  * Note: Axton is part of our Foster to Adopt program. Apply now if you are interested in testing how he would acclimate in your home*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 3:49 pm

Story
Jude is a 40 lb 1 yr old Border Collie mix.  His energy on a scale of 1-10 is 15.  He can jump 4 ft in the air without issue and scale a 5 foot barrier without flinching. Jude would likely make a great agility dog for someone.  He will NEED a significant amount of exercise daily and anyone that has interest will also need to continue basic obedience with him.  He already knows some commands.  He is a candidate for our prison training program once he heals up from his neuter surgery. Jude is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, wormed, and microchipped. Anyone with interest can stop at the shelter to meet him and complete an application to be considered.
