Story
We have a wonderful description from Willy`s current foster!:GENERAL PERSONALITY:Willy wants to be around one person all day long. He will leave my side if he wants to destress in our bedroom and even then he wants me there. Usually, I have a dog that follows me around in and outside and is always looking for attention. When he gets attention, he is always very thankful and excited for it. He puts a smile on my face often. I wanted to add, he has no aggression to him. He is in a home with two other adults, a dog, and three cats. He loves all of us, he plays with the dog, and he is fascinated with the cats, but wishes no harm. They just hate how close he wants to get. JUMPING UP:Willy still likes to jump up. He wants to be near your face. I am presently working on him not jumping up while I am standing and allow him to put his paws on my shoulders when I am kneeled down. He is beginning to understand, but he gets so excited he quickly forgets rules in an attempt to give kisses. In addition, when he gets very excited, he nips at your nose while giving you kisses. It is very fast, but delicate. I`ve come to love it. It really means he is excited and happy. He also is still learning not to put his paws in my face when too excited.FAST LEARNER:Willy learns very quickly. He is very motivated by praise alone, but treats will get very far. He has a tendency to not listen or run through/by things with little grace. He does not do this because he is being intentionally bad, but rather he is an anxious and excitable dog. He knows how to sit. I am presently working on laying down. I taught him to sit in an hour and he had it committed within a day. If I had more time with him, he could learn so much more. He is learning a ton though, just through living life. Mostly learning that everything is not scary and what play is.I do want to add he is smart enough to learn commands and ignore the ones he does not like. Sometimes it is hard to distinguish between him not knowing and him ignoring. If he is ignoring you, you will not appear on his radar at all. He can be a little aggravating at times like this. However, it shows intelligence and a smart dog is an amazing and interesting dog to me. POTTY TRAINING:Willy was so easy. He wants to mark locations he is unfamiliar with. When I first brought him home(after a chance to use the potty for some time), I locked up the cats and let him freely wander. He went to one locat

Story
These two deserve a better life, and their human parents have admitted it to themselves. A new baby and a five-year-old( just too much). Willow and Panthro spend too much time in their crates. :( Willow is 3.5 years old and a lab/pittie mix. Panthro is a year old (almost.... DOB is 12/20/23) and is a border collie/husky mix. They are very bonded...... love to play, sunbathe, toys, sweet and loveable! These two love to play, but they also can switch off their engines quickly and just chill. They are crate and house-trained and do fine with kids and strangers but not with kitties. Do you want only one dog but two and want a guarantee they'll get along? Here's your pair! And increasingly, we are doing FOSTER TO ADOPT options! That’s where you and puppers make sure you’re a good fit for one another before signing on “the dotted line”….. it’s a win-win for everyone! Just ask your adoption counselor about how this works. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interested in adopting this or another POPP dog? Please complete our adoption questionnaire found at: https://www.popptricities.org/adopt/adoption-questionnaire-canine/ If you have any questions. please E-mail us at dogsadopt@popptricities.org. ADOPTION PACKAGES: Our adoption fee for both pups is $300 ($150 each.... but yes, they need to stay together!) includes two lovable, non-judgmental canine companions, and a free vet exam. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Your adoption fee helps support POPP and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.

Story
Born approx. June 2020, Edwinn is a male Border Collie. He came to us afraid of the outside world and lacking confidence. He has made marked improvements in his foster home and is now ready to find his forever family. Edwinn is potty and crate trained. He is happiest when he is with his people and other dogs, for this reason, we will require Edwinn goes to a home with another confident dog to continue giving him guidance and reassurance. Edwinn needs a home with a secure 6 foot fence and one that will keep him active and mentally stimulated, breed experience is a huge bonus.Edwinn will do best in a home with adults or adults and kids over 5. It is unknown how he would do around cats. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Connor is ready for a home of his own! This boy is was born December 2018 and is a Border Collie mix. Connor struggles with insecurities and has a hard time meeting new people-but let me tell you that once you’ve made his “friends list” it’s for life! He will never let you down or leave you alone 😂😂 Connor will require a home with another confident canine companion, he does best with canine friends in his home to show him what’s okay. While he currently lives with dog savvy cats, he may not do well with new feline friends. Connor is not a dog that will ever enjoy going to dog parks, outdoor eateries, etc. That's not his scene. He prefers being with his family at home. He's an introvert's dream dog! 😉 He needs a calmer home with structure and routine, for this reason, a home without young children is best. Connor is potty, leash, and crate trained. He is still working on basic commands like sit, down, etc. He loves chew toys and treats. He will play tug-o-war but hasn't mastered fetch. We do require home ownership and a 6 foot fenced yard-no children under age 10. Applications: www.mikeyschance.com
