Look at the face on this boy!  Skppy is energetic and loves to play.  He would make a great companion on a hike or at the beach!!  He is best in  a home without children. Does well with most dogs. ##173682##

Story
This is Jenna, a beautiful Husky-Border Collie mix who is looking for a loving home. It may take her some time to warm up to new people, but she is pretty easily coaxed out with a tennis ball. If you give sweet Jenna some time, she will show lots of love. She’s a high-energy, protective, and incredibly loyal companion. She’s strong, smart, and loves being active. She also reportedly knows a few tricks, such as `sit,` `down,` `come,` and a few others, and is eager to learn more. Jenna would do well with someone experienced in handling confident, independent dogs. She absolutely adores her people and will be a fiercely devoted companion in the right home. If Jenna sounds like the right fit for your family, come down to Charleston Animal Society and meet her!

Story
Oakley is six years old and has been in my home for four years. She is incredibly intelligent with a sassy personality and is one of the most loving dogs I have met. Her favorite thing is to cuddle on the couch with her owner and get all the attention. She would do well in a home that can give her the attention she desires. She has a strong herd instinct and so someone who understands that is important. She does well with other dogs but due to her herding instinct would be best without a cat in the home. Small children under 3 are not recommended. She is wonderful with children and incredibly gentle. She does not have to issues with resource guarding, separation issues, people, or destructive behaviors. She is reactive on leash with other dogs and bikes. The reason she is being rehomed is due to a safety issue with our other dog. We are incredibly heartbroken to have to rehome her. She is a wonderful dog for someone who understands her certain tendencies with being a herder.

Story
Porter is a handsome fella who may have some border collie in his bloodline. It was reported to us by a previous owner that he had separation anxiety when left alone in a house. He has done well with some dogs at the sanctuary, but not all. We would not recommend that he live with a cat. He has been friendly to every person he meets and has a relaxed personality.

Pop is a stunner of a pup looking for love. He's a true herder who can play hard and then chill hard. Pop adores human attention, but has yet to make any dog friends at the shelter and may thrive as your one and only canine companion. If you want your spirits lifted every day by a good-lookin' goober look no further than Pop!
