Meet Maya, the ultimate bundle of love and energy! This sweet and cuddly girl is bursting with affection and is always ready to share her big heart. Though she may be small, she has a huge personality and so much love to give! Maya adores people and is always excited to make new friends. She’s still learning how to befriend other dogs, especially the more energetic ones, but she does great with the free-roaming cats at the shelter. She’s also wonderful with kids—though she has plenty of enthusiasm, she responds well to gentle corrections and will happily lay her head on you for sweet snuggles and kisses. If there's one thing Maya loves more than treats, it's love! She’s happiest when she’s by your side, gazing into your eyes, just waiting to be held and petted. Sometimes, her excitement gets the best of her, but once she settles, she’s the perfect cuddle buddy. Maya is a smart girl with a big appetite for learning! With some encouragement and tasty treats, she’s eager to pick up new skills. True to her heeler roots, she has a strong drive to play, run, and stay active. On walks, she doesn’t pull but enjoys circling around you, keeping things fun and interesting! Every so often, she’ll pause just to soak up some affection before trotting off on her next adventure.
