Meet Berkley! He’s a 3 year old, 25 pound Boston terrier mix. He likes to be the only pup in the home, so he can get all the belly rubs. Berkley is potty trained, and walks well on the leash. No young kids in the home would be best while he’s settling in. Berkley is looking for his forever family, and he can’t wait to meet you! Interested in adopting this pet? Story
Meet Tawny! She is an nine-year-young Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix who weighs 12 lbs. Tawny's favorite human recently passed away and unfortunately the family did not want to keep her and she ended up and the shelter scared and confused. But now she is living in a loving foster home and adjusting to a new life. Tawny loves other dogs but she loves them on her time and needs time to warm up. She can be a little hungry for affection which in turn can make her a little grouchy if another pup tries to steal her human from her but it’s easily corrected as she is so intelligent and a pleaser. She is definitely a sassy and sweet girl who loves to walk but is fairly low energy. She is great traveling partner in the car and absolutely loves children! Tawny is the ultimate snuggle buddy who is so easy. She is potty trained, crate trained and leash trained. She would make an excellent addition to anyone that has experience with spicy pups and can give her the love she is missing from her human in heaven. If you are interested in adopting, please visit the I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue website and complete an adoption application: www.icaredogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt Adoption fee includes: spay/neuter • shots up to date • micro-chip • fecal and vet check Breeds and age are not guaranteed. Story
How this pet arrived: Radiohead was brought in by a community member on March, 9, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Radiohead, the ultimate indie pup with a heart as deep as his namesake's discography. This shy boy was found wandering a baseball field with his canine pal, possibly contemplating the meaning of life-or just sniffing out snacks. He's still learning that people can be pretty cool, so he'll need a patient and calm adopter who lets him make the first move. But here's the secret: treats are the key to his heart along with playing fetch with tennis balls (and possibly his entire personality). Radiohead has spinal spondylosis, a condition where bony growths develop along the spine, which can cause stiffness and discomfort as he ages. While it doesn't slow him down too much now, his adopter should be mindful of his comfort and work with their vet to keep him feeling his best. He would do best in a home with older kids who understand that good things take time-just like waiting for your favorite band to drop a new album. He also will need a dental procedure, so his adopter should follow up with their regular veterinarian. If you're ready to earn the trust of this soft-hearted, food-loving pup, don't forget to bring a leash and collar-he might be a little shy now, but one day, he'll be your biggest fan. Story
Dusty was tearful relinquished to Boston Buddies due to his owner battling mental health issues.  Even though he has experienced some instability in his life, this 10-year-old, 16-pound, Boston Terrier is very calm, confident, and well adjusted.  Dusty integrated with his foster brothers and sisters with no issues.  He is dog friendly, nonreactive to the cats he met at the vet and loves every human he has come into contact with.  Dusty has been fully vetted to include a dental and the removal of a fatty mass on his paw.  This guy is the complete package!  Great looks and an award-winning personality.  Dusty rides great in the car and is making wonderful strides on his leash walking. He uses the doggie door to take care of his business…. But he is a bit of a marker (only negative habit he has).  His foster parents are working on this bad habit & he is currently sporting a belly band in the house.  At night he loves to snuggle in bed right beside his foster Mom and canine foster siblings.  His foster parents can’t say enough good things about this guy.  If you need to leave to go to work or run errands, no worries, he is fine to be left alone.  That just allows him some “me time” to sunbathe in the yard or lounge on a dog bed in the living room.  He was an only dog but he now lives with multiple dogs so we feel he could easily adjust to any domestic situation.  Microchipped, neutered and up to date on vaccines Dusty is ready to find a place to enjoy his retirement years.  Are you looking for a dashing date for your upcoming holiday events?  Our Ginger American Gentleman would make the perfect escort!  If he sounds like your perfect match, head on over to our website: www.bostonbuddies.org and complete an application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tyson is a very handsome small 5 year old, 23lb male frenchie who is looking for an EXPERIENCED and responsible owner that does not have a lot of human traffic in their life. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Tyson did not have a lot of boundaries or structure in his previous home, so he learned to guard his food. Through lots of diligent work and training, his food aggression is currently easily manageable by someone who is willing and able to earn his trust and build a relationship and bond with him. He is not an overly affectionate boy, but he does enjoy attention, walks, and body or belly scratches by his favorite person. Tyson is crate trained and walks well on leash. Please do not apply if you do not have adequate experience in handling dogs, or if you have children in the home. Also, you should be very well versed in breed related health issues to be considered for Tyson. Applications can be submitted at heertorescue.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 6, 2025, 8:01 pm
