Story
Meet Albus! Albus is a stunning black-and-white short-haired puppy with a lively personality and a heart full of love. This little guy is always up for some fun, whether it's a game of chase, exploring new toys, or enjoying some quality cuddle time as a lap dog. Albus is a fan of all kinds of toys—if it squeaks, rolls, or bounces, he’s all in! He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is happy to join in their play. Cats are fine with him, too—even if they prefer to keep their distance, Albus is content to leave them be. Based on his DNA test, the vet estimates he'll grow to be be around 30-40 lbs. As a young puppy, Albus is still learning the basics of potty training and leash walking. However, he’s a bright and eager learner, so with time and positive reinforcement, he’ll pick things up quickly. He was born in early November of 2024. Albus is a bundle of joy who loves to explore, play, and, most importantly, cuddle up with his favorite humans. This little guy is looking for a patient and loving family who will give him the time he needs to feel safe and secure. In return, you’ll gain a loyal companion who will bring endless love and laughter to your life. If you’re searching for a playful, loving, and adaptable puppy to brighten your days, Albus might be the perfect fit. Don’t miss the chance to meet this sweet boy—apply to adopt him today! Story
Olive came to our rescue after being found as a stray. She had initially been taken in by animal control, but while in their care, began having seizures and was transferred to a local veterinarian. She was started on medication and then transferred to us. Olive has had a bit of a journey to get to where she is at now. There were some issues getting her regulated and she had several incidents with significant seizure activity. However, after a visit to PVSEC Neurology and an MRI, her medication has been adjusted and she has been doing well. She is on medication twice daily. It is very important that the medication be on time or very close to on time. There is also an emergency medication in case Olive does have a seizure that wouldn't stop. As stated before though, she has been doing well. Olive is a very active dog that absolutely LOVES to play. She can entertain herself or she will play with other dogs. Olive is the absolutely sweetest dog you will ever meet. She deserves the best home and all the love she can get! Olive will be scheduled for a spay soon. We just needed to wait until her seizures were more regulated.

Story
Please contact Pet (information@pethelpersinc.org) for more information about this pet.   Meet Lilly.  She weighs about 16 pounds and is between 6/8 years old, we believe she is a Boston Terrier mix. She is a good, sweet girl and would make the best companion for an older couple or retiree, someone who is home more often than not. She likes to fill her days lying beside you or gazing out the window from the comfort of her bed. She is very mellow and laid back and rarely ever pulls on a leash when you walk her.  Lilly is house trained. She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated.  If you would like to give Lilly her forever home please click on the following link to fill out an application:  https://www.pethelpersinc.org/adoption-application/   Adoption Fees: PUPPIES (under 1 year) $250.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm/lyme test (if applicable), two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medicine and microchip. ADULT DOGS (over 1 year) $225.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, first set of routine yearly vaccines, heartworm/lyme test, two rounds of dewormer, one  round of flea medication, and Microchip. Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.   Check us out on Facebook!!!!!!  We hope you will give us two paws up, like our page and share with your friends.  Pet Helpers, Inc.
