FOHA DOGS NEED YOU!!! Friends of Homeless Animals saves many dogs, sadly some are un-adoptable due to health or temperament. These dogs are safe in fostercare and will live out their lives safe and loved.   Please see all of our needy dogs & their stories at:  http://fohari.org/virtual-adoptions/#sthash.uUZaHnal.dpbs    Click on the donate button to make a donation below or on our website: WWW.FOHARI.ORG https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_flow&SESSION=s_rzfxkrOz1k3UQ9SnF41ng9fiePbbcNM3-FRwhi8bjTdXc8YpJ1GEGHPGe&dispatch=5885d80a13c0db1f8e263663d3faee8d333dc9aadeed3fe0b5b299d55fd35542Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 1.5 years (as of 2/26/25) Weight: ~ 26 lbs (as of 2/26/25) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Larry wants to be your new best friend! This handsome boy is going to be the perfect addition to someone's home!  He is happy to meet and play with other dogs, cats, kids of all ages and all adults - he is just one friendly, outgoing boy! Larry appears to be a Boston Terrier mix about 1.5 years old with a beautiful smooth and shiny coat. Larry is house trained, crate trained, and walks great on the leash. He rides well in the car, is playful, adventurous and loves to snuggle! A fenced yard would be ideal so Larry could run and play safely, but if that's not available he'll need lots of leash walks and opportunities for off-leash play in a fenced area. An obedience course would be great for Larry; it will help teach him good manners and commands, further socialization with other dogs and people, and will help build that very important bond between a dog and his human. Larry is a gentle happy boy who just wants a loving forever home. Can you make his dream come true? Fill out an application today and let him know that you'd love to have him join your family! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 27, 2025, 9:21 am

Story
***Seeking Foster-to-Adopt*** Meet Annie – Your One-and-Only, High-Energy Bestie! 🐾✨ Annie is a young (exact age TBD), super-smart Boston Terrier who’s got big energy, big brains, and an even bigger heart! She starts off a little hyper but settles in beautifully, making her the perfect mix of zoomies and chill. She’s crate-trained like a pro—no fuss, no noise, just patiently waiting for her turn to go outside. She’s also probably potty-trained from her past life before she became a stray (because clearly, she’s a former house-dog turned adventure-seeker). Now, Annie has one small demand—she wants all your love, all to herself! She’s not a fan of other dogs (or probably cats), so she’s looking for a pet-free household where she can be the queen of the castle. 👑 But when it comes to her humans? She’s all love, no drama—sweet, affectionate, and ready to be your loyal, energetic sidekick for life! If you're looking for a smart, playful, people-loving pup to be your one and only, Annie’s got her bags packed and is ready to move in! 🏡💕 If you are interested in finding out more about Annie, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Annie is being fostered in Wrentham, MA. The adoption fee is $800. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
