Story
Buddy's foster shared that he gets along great with other dogs and is really loving and wants to be loved. Like most young dogs, he is quite energetic and definitely needs exercise and some training, but he learns quickly. He sleeps in a crate really well overnight and appears to be completely house trained. He likes to play a little rough so having an older, larger dog for him to pal around with and learn from would be great for him. Thank you for your interest in Buddy (aka Bruno)! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=18282 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Buddy (aka Bruno), or to submit an online application. HART adopts to the local DC/VA/MD metro area only. Visit our website for more information about our adoption process.

Please contact Anna Colllins (anna.collins@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Pretty brindle girl seeking fresh start and love! BLUE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Blue       Best Guess for Breed:  Boston terrier mix   Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of July 2024         SEX:  Female   Approximate Weight: 27 lbs as of 7/26/24; she is still growing!   Gets Along With:   Blue is good with other dogs and with cats! She hasn't been seen with kids but can be tested.    Currently Living at:  Georgia shelter foster home   All about Blue: This sweet girl landed in the shelter through no fault of her own, and is now in a foster home in Georgia. She's shown how good she is in a home-- --is good in the crate! --doesn't have accidents in the home! --knows basic obedience! --is good with other dogs - likes and plays well with her fosters' dogs - and is good with cats! --LOVES people and is a great cuddle buddy!   Her foster reports that Blue is full of that joyful puppy energy and learns very fast. She loves to play but has an off switch and knows how to chill. Her foster has been able to redirect her when she gets jumpy - she is a very good girl.    Blue is barely out of puppyhood and hasn't seen nearly enough of the world yet. She is unlikely to find her own family in her area; there are too many dogs and not enough homes. Her hope is finding a forever family in the DC area. She's eager to have her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures they can dream up. She'll be good in a home with another dog or as a solo dog - what she wants most of all is to be safe and loved and under her own roof. In exchange, she promises to always love you, to make you laugh - and to be your loyal companion for all her days.    What do you say? Is Blue the one you see by your side?   Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.    TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Story
Everyone loves a Boston Terrier and so do we!  This girl is not one of those well bred BT's but one of those that needs the most help!  Our girl is called Jettie and She is a 22 pound,  9 year old mostly black female Boston Terrier girl that is healthy and happy and looking for a home.  Feisty and confident like most Bostons, this girl has alot of spunk, and alternatively really enjoys napping by your feet. Her story is that her owner died and the owner’s son took her to live with him. It was not he happy time and situation for Jettie.  This innocent and lost little girl was put at that time, and only 17 pounds, in the back yard with his Pit Bulls.  HORRORS!!!!!   OF COURSE things went wrong and based on the fact that animal control was called, she was surrendered with so many wounds on her body, neck and tail. Despite the nightmare, she is still loving and trusting and just wanting to BELONG.  This girl has been in foster care for the past month and the wounds are healed on the outside but emotionally she is constantly looking over her shoulder to see if she needs to protect herself. Can you help Jettie?  She is not a shrinking violet and out of survival instinct, a girl who will be appreciative for whatever is done for her.  Since she has always been 'defending' herself, we are asking for an ONLY DOG HOME for her.   We don't want her to always be looking over her shoulder at another dog coming to hurt her.  I think she learned to growl and act like an alpha to thwart the constant aggression she was living with. Because of that, I feel that she has earned the right to belong to a living family who has no other dogs…She respects the cat and dogs in the foster home because they show her no malice, but on  occasion she will growl and posture if she feels threatened. If you can handle that tension for while till it subsides then fine....but it is there.  She is a loving dog who longs for walks, cuddles and the love of a human(s) in a safe and loving environment!  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Story
Meet Oliver! Oliver is about 1.5 years old and weighs about 28 lbs. Our best guess for Oliver's breed mix is Boston Terrier/Pitbull (just a guess). Oliver enjoys daily walks and play time in the backyard. Oliver is a happy boy who enjoys doggie toys and gets the evening zoomies. Oliver is good with other dogs and will need another playful dog in his forever home. Oliver is NOT good with cats. Oliver is not in a foster home with children, but we feel he would do well with children 5 years and up. Oliver is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

PLEASE READ: If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, please apply online at www.catdogfriendrescue.com. Please do NOT call or send inquiries via Adopt A Pet or PetFinder as we are a small rescue and cannot handle a large influx of inquiries and phone calls. You can email us at acatsfriendinc@gmail.com if you have questions, but if you would like to be considered for adoption, you must fill out an application. Please note if you are applying for a kitten under six months of age, you must have another friendly kitty in the home or adopt another kitten. Additionally, unless otherwise indicted that this animal is a purebred, all of our animals are rescues and the "breed" selection is a best guess based on their apperance as we have no way of knowing their specific breeds.  Out of state adoptions (outside Virginia/DC/Maryland) do require three years of excellent past or current veterinary references. We look forward to hearing from you!  Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter and microchip insertion. ##2148343##

Story
Mixer-Boston Terrier/Terrier male, ~ 1 yr. (July 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Mixer came to Rescue from a high kill big city shelter. He was on the list to lose his life to euthanasia the next day. This was happening only because the shelter is way overwhelmed with dogs needing homes. Mixer went into a rescue foster home and has proved to be an excellent dog. He's about 30#, full of intelligence and life. He plays well with the other foster dogs, loves to babysit the litter of foster puppies; they are about 10 weeks old. He loves to play fetch and he loves the water. Best of all, he loves people and wants to interact with his humans. Mixer's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com . Include your location and a phone number for future communication. The first step in our process is to submit an application for review. Once approved, we will contact you to arrange a meeting at our next Meet and Greet event. Our pets are fostered in private homes and will be brought to Frederick, MD to meet approved adopters. PLEASE ALLOW 24-48 HOURS FOR A RESPONSE.
