This is Lupe, who looks more like a tiger than a wolf! She has the most beautiful markings and is a very sweet girl. She’s pretty shy of humans at first, but absolutely adores other dogs, especially males. We are not sure of her history, but she definitely has had some puppies, so may have been bred for her looks, while not getting much human attention herself. That’s about to change for the better for Lupe! When playing with other dogs, she really opens up and starts to get comfortable, not just with the dogs, but also with the human friends around. Lupe doesn’t have much experience walking on a leash yet, but she’s working on it. She’s making up for lost time, and will make a very loyal and loving companion to the special adopter who’s willing to put in the effort to help her feel safe in the world. Might that be you? Sirius is a 9 year old boxer-staffordshire mix whose heart is as big as he is! He is calm, loves to cuddle, and loves to play with his humans of all ages. He is a gentle giant but also a great family protector. After my ex's passing, his mother reached out to me and I ended up taking Sirius in a little over a year ago. At the time, I only had one infant but now have a toddler with another baby on the way. We are also moving to a home with a yard not sized for a family pet and it's not fair to him to not get the space/attention he deserves. It breaks my heart to let him go but this is my last resort trying to place him in a loving home he deserves.

Energetic, loving, and goofy 9-year-old Ella is super sweet but needs a family with an experienced dog owner. A little under 2ft tall and 40 lbs, she's sleek and muscular. Ella is fully house-trained and very patient with the three cats she lives with. She's never lived with kids but is generally chill with the children in the neighborhood.   She loves her toys, playing fetch, tug of war games, following you around the house, and of course, napping. Ella wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and is alert to someone coming to the door. She is highly food motivated, Ella picks up new tricks quickly but can be stubborn and easily distracted, so she needs lots of consistent positive reinforcement to maintain behavioral changes. She has many opinions and she will let you know about them.   Ella also plays well with other dogs, although sometimes she has issues with dogs larger than she is, but is good at de-escalating potential conflicts. Ella really loves company so if her new people are gone for a full work day she will need a canine companion. She's leash trained and always excited to jump in the car to visit the park.
