Story
Are you looking for a seasoned playmate who loves to cuddle just as much as he loves to tug? That's ME, Chester, a charming 8-year-old pup with a heart full of love and a spirit that's as playful as a puppy's! I am the epitome of a lifelong learner. I adore picking up new tricks and skills, making me an ideal companion for anyone eager to teach and bond with their furry friend. Whether it's learning something that makes you smile or exploring a new trail, I am always up for an adventure. When I'm not busy learning, my favorite pastime is playtime! I am a tug-of-war aficionado and will gladly challenge you to a friendly game. My enthusiasm is infectious, and my joy for playtime will surely bring a smile to your face. Despite my playful nature, I have a softer side too. I absolutely adore cuddling up next to my favorite humans, where I feel safest and happiest. My affection knows no bounds, and I'm always ready to shower my family with love. It's important to note that I also embrace my sensitive side. I am a little wary of storms and fireworks, so a comforting environment during loud noises will help me feel secure and calm. If you're ready to welcome a loving, playful, and cuddly companion into your life, I eagerly await meeting you. Come check out a delightful dog who promises to bring endless joy, laughter, and love to your home! Story
Nova is 7 years old her birthday is October 17th. a close childhood friend had a dog with a liter of puppies and saw how broken we were after my chihuahua had passed, so nova came into my life shortly after. She’s too smart for her own good, a picky eater and loves attention. I shared her with my ex and after we split up not having a male around has impacted how she behaves with us in the house. She does not listen to my commands and does need and deserve training that I cannot afford at this point in my life. I do feel that a male owner would be better in my opinion she tends to listen better to a dominant male voice. Nova is very adorable and extremely cuddly she always wants to be right next to my mom. She is also very energetic and active she tries to play with the cat and other dog in the house but they would rather not. She is vocal and will express her feelings a lot with many different types of noises not just barks. She is always on alert making her a good guard dog.

Contact: Joanne/Alisa4/6/2024 - 3 y/o, 61 lbs. Bio:   I am 3 years old , full of energy, very lovable once I get to know you. A little insecure and over protective at times but working on that with my foster parents. Get along with my foster sister but not sure about other dogs or other animals. I get a lil anxious when I'm left alone. I will do better with older children and other people with proper introduction. Still working on being house train and crate train, but doing better. Evaluation Hold: 12/3/2023 - Captain is under our mandatory evaluation period, and is not available for adoption at this time. The foster home will have the opportunity to adopt once the evaluation period is complete.  If you would like to be a back-up applicant for Captain, please complete an application at:   http://flbr.org/application-form/.  Please also take a look at his available boxer friends as we get to know him better. November 1, 2024, 5:40 pm

Story
Contact: Alisa12/1/2024 -  Zara completed her board and train and she is ready to adopt or foster!   Zara has graduated training! She is a 2 y/o female with lots of Boxer energy. She loves to run in her yard, play with her toys and still has more in her engine to complete zoomies for the day!   Look at those eyes! Zara exhibits the typical Boxer love and energy they are known, and loved for. Zara is a sweet girl, and she needs to be an only dog at the moment. She has no problems being near others but still needs some corrections when interacting. She has no problem walking next to each other or passing them on a walk.     As a foster/adopter you will need to continue socialization and always advocate for her. Help her make great decisions. It will be crucial for the foster or adopter to provide sufficient guidance and structure for her.   She is very timid when she meets new people, but with continued training and slow introductions she will be fine.   Our trainer will continue to assist you and Zara be successful. Evaluation Hold: 7/21/2024 - Zara is under our mandatory evaluation period, and is not available for adoption at this time. The foster home will have the opportunity to adopt once the evaluation period is complete.  If you would like to be a back-up applicant for Zara, please complete an application at:   http://flbr.org/application-form/.  Please also take a look at her available boxer friends as we get to know her better.  Age: 2 y/o  Wt. 60 lbs. Story
Contact: Sandra 1/20/2025 - URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED! Loving, patient home needed. Initially we thought Zelda needed to be an only dog but it ends up she was just scared and confused. We don't know much about Zelda's past but we know she has a bright future in the right home. Are you that home? She's good with other dogs as long as they're well socialized. She's not fond of being left alone for a long period of time (but who is?)  She's sweet and loves people -  just needs a fresh, happy start to the new year. She is currently working and living with a trainer who will transfer her seamlessly into her new home with you. Please consider adding Zelda to your family. 11/1/2024 - Zelda is just such a happy and loving puppy, but she needs to be in a home with no other pets as she barks at any dog she sees and acts like she wants to attack. Zelda is not treat motivated so it’s hard to redirect her. Her prey drive is on a high too and focuses on animals, birds or squirrels. She does bark at everyone, but once she meets them, she’s just all love. Inside the house she’s amazing, a total love bug, cuddler but must know where her people are, she checks on us if in separate rooms. Zelda also barks when she goes in the crate, but usually settles down. She’s hesitant to get into the crate but goes in with a little direction. When she gets excited her tail goes into turbo, she is just all big smiles, and she howls at you with excitement. Just so cute! She is house trained and when she wants to go out, she lets you know, she howls at you sometimes and just directs you to the door if you’re not near it or if near it she’ll sit by it and let you know. She is good at the park if there are no other dogs or animals.   Evaluation Hold: 5/8/2024 - Zelda is under our mandatory evaluation period, and is not available for adoption at this time. The foster home will have the opportunity to adopt once the evaluation period is complete.  If you would like to be a back-up applicant for Zelda, please complete an application at:   http://flbr.org/application-form/.  Please also take a look at her available boxer friends as we get to know her better.  January 20, 2025, 2:08 pm
