Cornelius was found as a stray who had been roaming around for at least a week. Can you imagine this poor senior man living on the streets? He's currently being an angel in a foster home. We've learned that he is crate and potty trained. He knows "sit", "come" and is working on "stay." He's a very treat motivated gentleman who just wants to please his people. He walks well on a leash and is friendly to everyone he meets both in and outside of the home. Cornelius is the perfect houseguest, a total cuddle bug and absolutely adorable. What more could you ask for?

Story
Emma is the snuggliest, goofiest, wiggliest, and the most gentle girl when she's being given treats! She was able to spend some time in foster and loved to run in her foster's fenced in backyard to chase squirrels and - she even hops around like a bunny! Emma loved her older (tiny) foster brother and even enjoyed snuggling with their cat while in foster. She doesn't guard food or toys, and gets along with dogs of all sizes once she takes her time warming up. Her personality is closest to that of a Boxer - bouncy, entire butt wiggles, and scrappy arm swings. Here's some more facts about Emma: - ~1-2 years old -Spayed - ~ 40-50lbs -Had a large cherry eye that has now healed beautifully! -Great eater/not picky -Knows sit, down, NO, and wait -Loves her kennel - with only occasional accidents if she's alone for too long -Mostly potty trained -LOVES chew toys and playing ball -LOVES to sleep in laundry baskets! -- For anyone looking for a lost pet or considering adoption or fostering, we encourage you to make regular visits to the shelter. Story
🌟 Meet Adaline, Our Gorgeous Sun Goddess! 🌟 Adaline is a stunning full-bodied brindle who loves nothing more than stretching out on the ground and soaking up the sun on a beautiful blue-sky day. 🌞 This sweet girl is part of our Lifesaver Initiative, which means it's URGENT that she finds a foster or adopter as soon as possible. She’s treat motivated and will sit for a tasty reward, and she appears to be house-trained as her kennel is always clean when we spend time together. 🏠✨ Adaline is a soft, easy walker, but sometimes gets distracted by other dogs on walks (no aggression or barking—just curious!). A little treat can easily redirect her attention. 🦴 She’s very friendly with new people and absolutely LOVES belly rubs. 😍 We are looking for a loving home where Adaline can shine as the one and only pet. She has a strong prey drive, so she’d do best in a home without other animals. 🐾 If you’re ready to give this sweet girl the love she deserves, please consider fostering or adopting her today! Time is of the essence, and Adaline would be an amazing addition to your family. ❤️

Story
Mochilo is a super sweet, playful and energetic puppy, who is also happy to curl up and rest when he needs to. He is doing great with house training, is crate trained and is the type of dog who is happiest being around people! He does well with children of all ages. In his foster home he has an infant, toddler, grade school age and teenage human foster siblings and loves them all! He also loves to play with other dogs. He's a smart cookie who learns very quickly, making him a confident canine . He rides well in the car and will curl up in the passenger seat and snooze. When he is worn out from a day of adventures, playtime in the yard or walks in the park he will snore away in his crate. He is, of course, more than happy to snuggle in bed as well and will nestle his head on your neck or a pillow. He also loves to sleep under the blankets. Mochilo was bottle fed from a week old, which has made him a very social, trusting and loving dog. He adores his foster family, but yearns to find his forever family so he can grow up and share a lifetime of love and loyalty with them.

Story
Thanks to Melissa Carlton State Farm Agent, Gerald's adoption fee is waived! With supporters like Melissa, all dogs have second chances and their futures look bright. Hi! I am Gerald! I have been with my current foster mom and dad for a few months and I ready to find my forever home! I am about 9 years old (even though my foster mom says I don't act 9). I was found roaming the streets by a kind police officer who brought me to Gateway Pet Guardians. Because I am an older boy, I come with many perks that GPG offers to my family like free training sessions! I am very smart and very food motivated. I love to play with treat puzzles, and I have a favorite "licky ball that my foster mom fills with frozen bone broth or goats milk and it's amazing. When the weather is bad, she likes to give me licky mats that she says works my brain even though I can't go outside. I love walks, stuffies, balls and chew bones. I love it when you come home from work. I love it so much that I will greet you with my favorite toy of the day. If I have a very special toy, I will take it outside and bury it. I'm very good at hiding my toys so that only I know where they are. I sleep all night in my crate, but I do like to have a stuffy and my favorite blanket with me. Although I'm more than happy to sleep with you if that makes you feel better! Because I came from the streets, I have some scars on my body and legs, but that doesn't stop me. I get around VERY well, but one thing that happened to me is that I have to wear a belly band because I don't always know when I have to pee. I do sometimes, but not always. I think people feel like this is a bad thing. But it' s no different than babies wearing a diaper. I don't mind them at all. I just need you to keep me clean and change them a few times a day. My foster mom says I come with about 10 of them, so you don't have to do laundry every day....she doesn't like to do laundry that often.
