Story
My name is Walt! I’m very outgoing and love people. I need some help with my manners as I’m very bouncy but I can learn quickly! I’ve been through a lot in my life so I need the right introductions to other dogs. Also I like dogs that are more relaxed, too much energy scares me! I also snort a lot!

Story
IDGSR Welcomes MURF into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Howdy! My name is Murf and I'm a handsome 8-month old mix Boxer/Shepherd boy. I am located near the Greeneville, Tennessee area and am ready to relocate for my perfect home! Here are 7 fun facts about me & my ideal home! 1. I kinda look like a Boxer and kinda look like a Heinz 57 pup - my mom is a Shepherd mix and my dad was the Pup-Cup Barista. 2. My nickname is Murf the Smurf - I'm a small guy but don't let that fool you from my big goofy personality! I'll probably be 50ish pounds when full grown. 3. I heard on Hound Radio that no one was interested in adopting me soI tried to join the circus and be a rodeo clown but was denied because I'm too cute! 4. I'm funny, personable, affectionate, CAT FRIENDLY, curious, and love to have a good time. 5. I'm smart and want to learn all sorts of things. Will you paw-promise to train me in obedience? Have some yummy treatos and I'll do just about anything. 6. If you live in an apartment, condo, townhome, smaller house, or have breed strict HOA rules, I can bypass those since I'm not a full blood German Shepherd! 7. I have a big secret to share with you... I love older women! Are you an older gal looking for a fun loving younger man?! One that gives AMAZING kisses, loves to CUDDLE, and will protect you from scary squirrels and Amazon drivers? I'm the guy for you! Story
Meet Rooney! This dude loves nothing more than fun, playing, and socializing with people and other dogs! He's a smart as a whip and picks up on stuff very quickly! He enjoys training and loves to show off his little prance when he gets something right! Rooney has been working on his leash manners, learning to sit (Which he is now a master at!), learning auto-sit to help keep his handler engagement, and learning to keep his paws (And mouth) to himself! When meeting new people, he gets extremely excited and forgets his manners (He has baby brain, what can he say!?) Rooney wouldn't mind meeting future dog siblings or sharing a home with other felines but he will chase! As for kids, Rough and tumble kids would be best suited for this high energy guy, though. When he gets the zoomies, he may accidentally take a kid down, he has no body awareness he also likes to sit on them and at 68lbs that could hurt a little one! Rooney also is in need of a home where someone is always with him, he can go to work with them etc. He has separation anxiety and is destructive when unsupervised, but luckily Rooney loves to ride and go on adventures. Come on down with the whole family (Including future dog siblings) to meet Rooney!

Story
LOOKING FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT! Meet Thor! This handsome boy has become a staff favorite! He's a total love bug with his people, although it does take several meetings to become "one of his people". He LOVES playing in the yard especially with Kongs and tennis balls! He knows basic commands such as "sit" and "leave it". He gives the BEST hugs! Thor has had some troubles with his ears and now is worried when people he doesn't trust seem to be trying to touch them. For this reason, Thor needs to be in a home with no kids under 18. Thor has previously lived with cats and other dogs. He has lots of dog friends at the shelter!

Story
As sly as a fox, as strong as an ox, as fast as a hare, as brave as a bear; ok, so he might not be THAT brave, but you get the point.Meet Ace!Ace enjoys humans, going for walks, and food; especially food. He sure is as strong as an ox, and he knows it! This dude is looking for a home to help him work on his leash manners (Which he IS improving on!) to bring him on walks (Or runs!) to get his energy out, and a home with someone who understands big-headed boys! Ace can be sensitive, don't let his size fool you. He's a big boy who doesn't fully understand he's a big boy! One of Ace's favorite things is kiddie pools! He LOVES to splash and play in the water, so may make a nice lake house, or boat, dog! Ace is willing to meet female dogs and submissive male dogs; he can be dominant with other males! As for kids, Ace may do well with rough and tumble kids who are used to being around big dogs, like we said, he doesn't exactly know his size and may accidentally take one down!Interested in Ace? Swing on down to KVHS during available adoption hours and ask to meet him!
