I rescued Apollo the beginning of February . I thought he would be a lovely addition to our family. I’ve tried every option to make this work, thinking that it will all work out eventually. Now its to the point where my boxer has to wear a soft muzzle every day and the vet told me yesterday the boxer is living in constant stress. The puppy is a love , he’s a sweet, sweet boy ,but he’s a puppy, he’s hyper at times . They cuddle fantastically , but if the puppy’s not sleeping, the boxer wants nothing to do with him. The boxer has grown to be very territorial , jealous, and she snaps at the drop of a hat. The reality is, it’s not fair to the puppy to constantly be separate from us, for his safety. He deserves a really good home with constant love and it breaks my heart, but it needs to be done. For the Benefit and well-being of both the dogs . Please help me find the puppy a good loving home. He’s a love, and a fun goofy. He’ll bring a smile to your heart.

Her ideal home probably wouldn't take her to a dog park but she'd still like to spend time with dogs that she meets properly and is familiar with. Cats: Zoe can live with cats who are tolerant of a playful pup. Zoe is a smart, beautiful, sweet girl. When we first got her at Lighthouse, she was insecure meeting new people. The more that we’ve gotten to know her, she’s come out of her shell with regular volunteers and has shown us how loving and silly she can be. When she sees someone that she loves, her little nub tail doesn’t stop wagging and all she wants to do is for you to say hi to her and welcome her into your lap for snuggles. Once you have her trust, there is no turning back! She is loyal and will always greet you with a smile on her face. Zoe is house trained and crate trained. Zoe has been to professional training so she knows basic commands and also knows some fun ones like how to give a high five. Zoe's forever home should be understanding about her insecurity with new people and will want to continue with her obedience training so that when she does get scared, she will listen to you and know that she can trust you. -- We do not adopt on a first-come-first-serve basis, but rather by the best match between dog and family, although we will factor in the order of applications if there are equally good matches. Our adoption fee for adult dogs is $450 which covers the costs of vetting (spay, vaccinations, heartworm testing, preventatives while in our care, deworming and microchip) and any boarding or transport fees incurred in each dog's rescue. Senior dogs are $250.

He’s spunky and fun and loves to play fetch. Even though he is a higher-energy boy outdoors, he settles so nicely in his room. He'll occupy himself with a toy or cuddle up in his bed and wait patiently for his turn to go outside. He'd make a great companion for someone who is looking for a copilot for all of their adventures but wants a snuggle buddy at night. Cole is an affectionate boy who has no shame in showing off his belly for a good belly rub! Cole loves every human that he meets but shouldn't live with small children as he can be jumpy when he's really excited to see his people. Cole has his own room so he is left loose throughout the day without having any accidents. We crate him overnight and he does great in a crate as well. He is quiet all day unless he can hear that his favorite dog walker is at the shelter! Other Dogs: When Cole first arrived, he wasn't thrilled about other dogs and we have previously posted him as an only dog. However recently, thanks to the incredible wizardry of Tyler (Cole's favorite dog walker), he is learning social skills. He has been on a few walks now with Tyler's dog (adopted from Lighthouse!) and the two of them get along really well. Ivy is a beautiful sweet American Bully breed. She is 2 years old and is looking for a new loving home that meets her needs in order for her to thrive as the dog she is. 2 years ago my wife and I saw Ivy as a puppy living in tents with homeless drug addicts and decided to exchange money for her. Ivy grew up with an older French bulldog and a cat in my household. As Ivy got older and bigger she started showing aggression and attack my French bulldog so they are now separated. Ivy loves to play, cuddle, and get tummy and back scratches. She is very vocal but she is so lovable and sweet but needs to right home and all of the attention. She’s a sweet lovable girl who needs the spotlight on her at all times. With the right owner and house she could thrive to be an amazing dog. Ivy went through a one month boarding E-collar training which she does well with now for her behavioral issues and she does listen very well. We want the best for Ivy and that would be finding a loving home for her.
